8/14/19

It was a nice cloudy day. We headed to the fairgrounds after lunch. We walked around the horse barns which are Eli’s favorite. We took care of the sheep and turkeys and then walked in the merchant buildings. Jacob and Adam bought an elephant ear. Eli used some of his money to buy a whole pizza from Little Caesars. He also got breadsticks and a pop. He was pretty excited! We went to the library so the boys could pick out new books. At home the boys played minecraft. When Jared got home from work we headed back to the fair. We stripped the sheep stalls and put in clean shavings. Then we took care of the turkey's. The small animal sale started at 6:30. Eli's turkey was number 52 in and she sold for $200. She went for resale and sold for another $80. Eli gets the $200 and the $80 is donated to 4H. The person that paid the $80 gets the turkey and he is going to pick her up on Sunday. We had to hurry after Eli's buyers pictures. Had to get back to the turkey barn and swap out Eli's turkey for Adam's. Adam was number 53. His turkey sold for $125 and also went for resale. Grandma's pumpkin patch bought his turkey and is keeping it as a pet. Jacob's was number 88 in and his turkey sold for $210. The girls that bought his turkey have been on several Dr Pol episodes.  Their Grandma is using this tom for breeding.  There were two sales left after Jacob's turkey.
