Grandma made pancakes for breakfast again this morning. She then gave Jacob some lessons on the sewing machine. They began making a pillow. Around 10:00 Kat brought Andrew over to play with the boys while she took Noah to a Dr appointment. Uncle Jared stayed with the boys while Lela and I went shopping a Last chance Goodwill. We spent a few hrs shopping and found so good deals. It was around 1pm when we got back. Adam loved the clown wig and socks Grandma had found. It started to snow hard and Adam wanted to play outside while it was coming down. Kat left with her boys before the roads got worse. Jacob finished his pillow, which he is very proud of, before coming out to play in the snow. Eli took a nap. The boys had a great time sledding. The snow was packed down good and they could go fast down the hill. They learned to run and take off down the hill without being pushed. Both boys also learned how to steer the sled. They stayed out to play even after Jared and I came in. Jacob went to the fabric shop with Grandma. Jared and I cleaned out the attic. Jacob and Adam liked going up there. They found a bunch of marbles and took them inside to play with. After dinner Adam got his clown hat and socks on. He danced while watching his shadow on the door and was being silly. Jacob, Daddy, and Eli played with legos. Adam watched TV with Grandpa. Grandma measured the Adam and Jacob for something she is going to make and Eli stood ready to be measured next. We tucked the boys in bed around 9pm. I got to talk to Vikki on the phone for awhile. Jared and I stayed awake to watch the ball drop but went to bed after that. Happy New Year!

12-30-12

We woke up around 7am and all three boys were in our bed. Jacob said, "I thought you'd be up by now". Adam was snoozing. Eli got down and was playing. After church we stopped at Goodwill to look for boots for Jared since we forgot ours. I didn't find any there. Someone from church let me use her boots. We came home and had chili for lunch. The boys had sandwiches. Adam wanted to try the chili but didn't like it. Eli didn't eat much. This afternoon Eric and his family came over to play in the snow. They had fun sledding down the big hill and playing in the snow. Eli was very tired and didn't want to play. He took a nap when we came inside. Jacob got buried by Daddy in the snow and got cold hands trying to get out because his gloves fell off. He said he was afraid he might get frost bite. Adam stuck his head in the snow and got snow down his back. Some of the boys had hot chocolate when they came in. Grandma and Noah played go fish and then she played with Andrew and Adam. After Eric and family left we watched Santa Buddies and had popcorn and ice cream.

Grandma made pancakes for breakfast this morning. Eric and his family came over around 9:30 to celebrate Christmas. The boys opened stocking from Grandma and Grandpa first. They got things like bandaids, crackers, glue, bag of fabric and buttons, candy, and duckies. Next they all opened stuffed pickles that Grandma had made for them. The pickles had faces and each with a different colored nose. Then the boys opened stuffed animals with blankets. The animals make sounds and have hands and feet that velcro.  They all also got pillowcases(by Grandma) and books. Adam opened a lego police pursuit set, Jacob a lego recycling truck, and Eli a playskool Star Wars set from Aunt Kat, Uncle Eric and the boys. The adults also took turns opening gifts at some point. I got a beautiful Christmas quilt, a scarf and headband, and pillows all made by Grandma and some books. Jared got some socks, flannels, a cute fox (by Grandma), a sand scoop, m&ms, and a Louie Lamore book. The boys had chicken nuggets, chips, and applesauce at the "kids table" in the kitchen. The adults ate pasties at the table in the dining room. Then we headed to the Lakeshore store for craft time. The boys got to decorate face masks. There were alot of neat things in the store. Back at Grandma's Adam and Eli wanted to play in the snow. Eli cried because he didn't want to walk in the deep snow. He did have fun sledding down the hill a couple times. Adam had fun sledding too. Eric and family arrived so we soon headed inside. Eli took a nap. The boys put together their new legos sets. Jacob used some fabric and sewed (with a needle and thread) me a bag for my ipod. He also sewed a bag for Andrew with a button and put an airplane in it. Jacob made Grandma a bag too. Eli woke up around 6pm. We watched Wipeout. Jacob choose to do his reading with Grandma this evening.
