8/11/19

We had to get the boys sheep weighed this morning and also had to take the turkeys to get checked in. Eli's sheep weighed 90# so didn't make it to the 95# required to be in the fair. The lady even went to get a fairbook to double check because it used to be 90#. Eli took it hard and cried all the way home. He worked so hard and we felt really bad for him. He was really looking forward to the show and loved being part of the sheep this year. We went home to drop off the trailer and turned Eli's sheep out with the other lambs and Han. We are going to keep Eli's sheep for breeding. The boys stayed home while Jared and I went shopping and picked up pizza's for lunch. We surprised Eli with a new super soft microfleece blanket. He can wrap up in it with he's feeling sad. It really seemed to cheer him up. The boys played their time on the computer. Then we listen to Daddy read.  He finished the last book in the trilogy. This evening we went back to the fair to check on the animals. We also walked through the merchant buildings. At home we watched Heartland and had popcorn pop and ice cream.
