Band Festival

We woke up early this morning because Jacob had to be to school at 7:05am.  Jared went to town for our Sat goodies.  I took care of the animals.  We dropped Jacob off and then headed to the Festival concert at Bay City Western in Auburn.  We got there early and listened to the group before ours.  Jacob had a solo in the second song and the director had him and the other soloist stand at the end of that song.  After the concert we followed the band to a room for their sight reading.  That was fun to watch.  Stopped at the store on the way home.  Jacob rode the bus back to school and we picked him up from there.  This afternoon we played a game of Ticket to ride with Adam and Eli.  I won.  We went to the barn to clean stalls.  The boys had fun playing on the xbox from Vikki and Rody.

Today was a half day at school.  We got home around noon.  Nana, Aunt Bippi and the kids came over this afternoon.  Peyton brought her friend Diamond.  The kids had fun with foam block, magnetics, and the Wii.  They also had a lot of fun chasing chickens.  Jared came home from work early and Jacob and Adam went with him to get sheep grain.  They helped him unload it when they got back.  Vikki and Mom made a wonderful salad for lunch.  And the kids had pizza.  The kids got to hold one of the new lambs.  Eli got Dob out so they could walk her around.  I made them some hot chocolate to warm up.  It had lots of whip cream and sprinkles.  This evening Adam and I went shopping for Eli's birthday.  We got home around 8:30.  Eli was asleep on the couch.

Hailey and Nana came over for a little while this afternoon.  Hailey had a snow day today.  She wanted to see the lambs.

Jacob had pep band tonight.  It was his last of the year.  Adam Eli, Jared and I played Ticket to Ride.  Adam won.  The boys then played Wii fit.

When I got home from work I went right to the barn to check on the sheep.  Anna had just lambed a single girl.  She's a new mom and was very nervous.  I dragged the lamb to the stall but she didn't follow.  I had to get some grain to catch her.  I went in the house and Nana was there.  She came out and helped me take care of the lamb.  She held the mom while I got some colostrum and tube fed the lamb.  Nana got a little messy when she pulled back the syringe to far - haha.  We visited for a little while before it was time to get the boys from school.  Nana treated us too McDonalds.  The boys were glad we got one of the light up table.  Jared met us there after work.  We stopped at Kohl's on the way home.  At home the boys played minecraft.  Then Adam and Daddy played a couple games of chess.

Lowe's called around 9:00 to say the would be there in 15-20 min with our new refrigerator.  Jared and Jacob took off the door should they could fit it in.  The movers also had to remove the handles.  We went to town to get groceries and pizza.  We finished painting and caulking. It was fun loading the new refrigerator.  I got some totes that would fit in our new space and organize that.
