Jacob riding his bike one day after learning!

3-30-11

Jacob is on spring break this week and it sure is nice having his home. I can't wait until summer vacation! This evening after dinner we headed to Jacob school so the boys could ride their bikes in the parking lot. Jacob learned to ride his bike without training wheels! He was so excited when he did a long stretch on his own that he set down his bike and walked back to me to give me two high fives. He had such a cute grin on his face and was so proud of himself. Adam loved riding around on his bike too. He is now using Jacob's old bike which is bigger.

Eli asking for more of Adam's hot chocolate

Eli usually wakes up around 5am to nurse and then I tuck him back in his crib. I got up at 6am to exercise and see Jared off to work. Jacob came out of his bedroom this morning saying, “I got some sleep last night.” The boys watched Diego during breakfast. After breakfast they played with the plastic bowling set. Eli slept in this morning waking around 9:00. Jacob and Adam played with their cars and the road track in their bedroom. Jacob counted all his cars and said he had 116 cars. The boys built a camper truck and a blanket tent. They played webkinz until lunchtime. Jacob wore his glasses down on his nose to show Adam what a Grandma looks like and said, “hi there old deery” in a high pitched voice. Eli woke from his morning nap around 1:30 and ate a late lunch. The boys and I played our own made up game of monopoly. We didn’t play with the money but had to give a high five for landing on a house. We sure had fun playing that. Jacob and Adam had banana’s for their afternoon snack. Before eating them they pretended they were taking to each other on their banana phones. I trimmed the boys fingernails (well Jacob trimmed his own). Eli loves me to trim his nails. Adam doesn’t mind getting his fingernails trimmed but really doesn’t like his toenails trimmed. Whenever I trim his nails he always asks, “Is you gonna trim my toenails?” I tucked Eli in for a nap and the boys watched Diego. Eli didn’t wake up until just after we finished eating dinner. We went outside this evening. Eli was happy in the carrier. Norman had fun running around in the yard. Jacob and Adam did some shoveling but mostly played in the ice/water. They were chopping up the ice with a hoe. Back inside the boys warmed up with hot chocolate. Eli was reaching to beg for some of Adam's drink. Adam shared some with him. He’d stick his finger in the hot chocolate and then in Eli’s mouth. Once Eli bit down on his finger a little and Adam said, "ouch."

Daddy and Adam on their motorcycle

If I have gum Eli loves for me to blow bubbles. The expression on his face is so funny as he gets like 2 inches from my mouth and stares with his mouth open. Lately he loves to drop things and says, “Uh oh” We made pizza for lunch. After lunch the boys got out the wooden blocks to build with. I tucked Eli in for a nap and did some exercises. Mel and her family came over this afternoon. Their dog Abby is staying with us for a couple days. The kids had fun playing together while we visited. They left around 4:30. Daddy and the boys played with the plastic bowling set but didn’t do much bowling with them. They sure had lots of fun doing other things with them though. Eli is walking along the furnitures more now and sometimes lets go to stand on his own. He sure has chewed up the side of his crib. This evening we watched Toy Story 3. Eli cuddled on Daddy’s lap for a long time. I trimmed Abby’s hair.

Snack up in the loft bed
Jacob and Adam are pretty sure Daddy is the voice of the "ATM lady". They kept teasing him about it and Jacob said, "Your a women Daddy!" Eli loved his donut this morning. We went to Salvation army and TSC (for chick days). We also stopped to walk through our favorite house which was having an open house today. Got home around 1pm. After eating a late lunch I tucked Eli in for a nap. While he was napping I did some exercises. Jacob and Adam played with moon dough. We played "treasure map" this afternoon. The boys love finding treasure using maps. This evening I gave Jared a haircut.

The lego lid is kinda heavy
Jared took today off work because his eyes were still bothering him and he was sick with a cold. Adam stayed with Daddy while I went shopping. Eli came with me and stayed with Nana. He was napping when I got back there. Vikki met me at Mom's house. We had fun looking at baby stuff at BabiesRUs and Baby Depot.
