Day 8 (8/7/23)

I was up around 6:30. I made coffee and read a book. Around 8:00 I woke Eli because he wanted to get up. We played a game of 3-13 and he won. Then we played a game with Grandma and Grandpa, Grandpa won. I thought I was going to stick him in the king round when I was dealt 5 wilds! I went out right away. Grandpa only got 3 points! He had 4 wilds. Haha. Eli had a really high score.  Nana took Adam to tryouts but he could tryout because he needed a physical. Nana called Jared who messaged the coach. He said they could take him to the urgent care and get an emergency physical.  Nana turned around and came back to get Adam and he got his physical. He still can tryout, yay!  Thank you Nana!!  Eli and I took a walk to the fort after breakfast. We came back for lunch.  After lunch we played game of skipbo with Grandma and Grandpa, Eli won. Went back to the fort store to call Jared. Eli got a pop. We relaxed at our site for a couple hours in our hammocks. Eli read a garfield book. Jared got back to camp around 4:00. He brought ice blocks that he picked up in calumet. We drained the cooler and loaded it with new ice. Eli was happy that Daddy brought his kitty Blaze. He also got the kitty a harness and a leash. We went to Hunters point and Eli brought his kitty. He had fun climbing the rocks with his kitty. Jared fell asleep on the rocks. He was very tired. We searched for agates. When we got to the point Blaze got scared of something and backed away from Eli, slipping out of his harness. Blaze ran into the woods. We were so worried as we searched for him. After awhile of searching Daddy found him under a tree in the weeds.  Scary. We tightened the harness. Back at camp Eli built a fire and we cooked hot dogs over it for dinner. After dinner Jared and I went for a walk. Eli started working on his metal earth set. Jared fell asleep in the hammock. I woke him so we could go to the fort store to call the boys. We facetimed Jacob. He had just made mac n cheese for dinner.  We also called to see how Adams soccer tryouts went. Eli, Grandma and Grandpa were sitting by the fire when we got back.
