9/15/23

 Eli woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose.  I  had planned to go to Mom's house today but decided to stay home.  We talked on the phone.  I worked on cleaning the house.  I picked Jared up from work around 4:00, after getting the boys.  This evening we went to Blue Thumb.  Got some frog bit which is a floating plant.  We went out to dinner at Olive Garden.  Stopped at Pet Smart and Dicks before going home.  Called and talked to Jacob on the drive home.  He had just finished a quartet practice with some clarinet players.  They formed their own group.

 I worked on taking pottery pictures and posting them on Etsy.  While the boys were at youth group Jared and I walked around a nearby neighborhood.

Today I made soup bowls and mugs on the wheel.  I opened our cupboard and notice tons of ants.  I took everything out and got rid of the ants.  They had eaten into our taco shells and graham crackers.  I left everything on the counter.  This evening we went to Nana and Papa's house for dinner.  They had visited Jacob today in Lansing and took him out to eat at Olive Garden.  They brought me home some soup.  Super yummy.  Eli's soccer practice as canceled due to the ran.  Vikki and Rody came over too.  Rody brought Mom and Dad some nice framed pictures he had taken of them  at their 50th party

9/10/23

We picked up a pizza for Adam on our way home from church.  He's staying home today and we are going to Nana and Papa's.  Adam is working on some school work and playing games with friends.  My sisters and their families came over too.  We ate yummy leftovers from the party for lunch.  Had a great time visiting.  The guys and boys had fun playing pingpong.  We also packed the pool away for the winter.  This evening we watched tv and had popcorn pop and ice cream.

 Jared and I stopped in Freeland at the flower shop to pick up my parents courage and boutonniere.  The shop had gotten the wrong date.  They weren't going to be able to have them ready on time because we were in a hurry.  We canceled the order and got Mom's refund. We went to the church to help with the decorating.  Today we are celebrating Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary!!!  The food was yummy!  It was really nice to see so many friends and family who came to celebrate with us today.  We went to my parent's house after the party and watched them open their cards.

 We went to the store to get another box of cake mix so I could make some more cupcakes.  After baking those I went into town to get a couple things for making frosting.  I worked on making frosting and decorating the cupcakes this afternoon.  There were 144 cupcakes to make.  I put gold edible glitter on top of them.  I met Mom by Jared's work because he needed to the car to pick up the boys.  I was running late.  Dad and Vikki were at the church when we got there.  We could only work on decorating until 4:00.  Then we went to Mom's to help her with her picture books.  Dad gave Mom some roses for their anniversary.  They left to go out to dinner.  Vikki and I stayed there and finished the books.  There were almost 600 photos to go through. Vikki took me to Midland and we ate at Big Boy.  Jared met us there.
