I took Eli to school and then dropped some packages off at the post office.  Did some laundry and cleaning.  Vikki and the kids came over around 11:00.  Vikki brought some yummy subs from Intermission deli.  Peyton and Isaac had no school today.  We had a nice time visiting while we ate our subs.  Then I got out the clay and worked on making handles for my salt pigs.  Vikki made some cute mushrooms and I made one too.  Peyton and Isaac had so much fun making things with the clay.  Isaac shaped his clay into many different faces.  They were cute and funny.  He only made one thing to keep, a little turtle.  Peyton made a bunch of cute little things from the clay.  Vikki also made a turtle.  We picked up Adam from school and dropped him off at home before picking up Eli.  Then we went to the antique store by Eli's school.  We sure had fun walking around in there.  Vikki found a cute glass vase, a lidded jar and some driftwood.  Jared came home from work a little early.  Vikki and the kids headed home.  Then Jared and I left for Lansing.  Jacob is on spring break this week!  His roommate was throwing a party tonight and Jacob didn't want to be there.  Before picking up Jacob we went to Pruess pet to get a bamboo shrimp.  They were closing in 20 min.  It took more than that to get some help.  The shrimp really didn't look that great but we decided to get one because our fish store doesn't sell them.  The man starting roughly trying to catch the shrimp, moving rocks and logs.  The shrimp move really fast.  Then the lights went out on all the tanks.  He went to find a flashlight but they turned the lights back on for him.  They were closing.  He finally caught one and then grabbed it with his hand and threw it in the bag.  We picked up Jacob and got to meet his friends, Abi and Ella.  We went to McDonalds for shakes before heading home.  We watched The A-team and had pizza.  

2/22/23

 Today I worked on this blog.  Trying to catch up from being way behind!  Also made some salt pigs on the wheel.  The boys helped me move a round bale.  It was a beautiful day today.  Adam went on a bike ride.  He and Hope meet at the little store nearby. The store has been around for about 20 year but is closing this year.   Adam got back around 6pm.  Hope picked him up in her truck around 6:30 and they went to the jazz concert at the Midland center for the arts.  Adam wore jeans and his glasses!  He is asking for some jeans now.  He sure had a great time and enjoyed the concert.

New starts

I got to my parents house around 9:45.  Mom and I listened to the podcast from the Common's church.  It was a great message as always.  We had a nice visit.  Melissa came over around noon.  We had yummy pot pie for lunch.  Dad asked if we wanted to go for a ride in the motorhome.  It feels weird to ride in the back of the motorhome.  Even thought I was a little nervous it was still a fun ride.  Only got to see Vikki for a couple minutes because I had to leave to pick the boys up from school.  Picked up Adam and then headed to Eli's school.  Waited there for him and then realized that he has jazz band today.  Took Adam home and then came back at 4:00.  We stopped at McDonalds for frappe's.  Eli got a mocha and I got a caramel frappe.  Yummy!  We met Jared at Meijer gas station because I had mperks points to use.  Jared and I both filled up and also filled up a 5 gallon gas can for $1.97/gallon.  Jared and Eli headed home.  I went to the store to get cactus soil and a new pot for our Christmas cactus.  Jared and I repotted it when I got home.  The boys had youth group.  While they were there we walked around Soldan's and Hobby Lobby.  Eli loves to stay after so he can talk to Kurt and Pastor Eric.  Eli took his Isle Royal book to show Kurt.  He found out that Kurt has met the author of the book.  We had a late dinner at home and watched The A-team.  

2/20/24

 I stayed up really late the last couple nights so I was really tired this morning.  I sat down to drink my coffee in my chair and fell asleep, for 3 hrs!  Kenzie called and I talked to her for awhile.  She sent me some pictures of the pendants she made and some cute pictures of Rehvyn.  I did some house cleaning.  When Adam got home from school he called Hope and talked to her for a long time. Eli went out to take care of the animals.  He loves to spoil Bo with treats.  He came in and told me a story about our funny rooster.  Basil always begs Eli for treats when he gets home from school.  Eli's back was really hurting.  He lay on the couch and watched tv.  Then he went in his room and played with legos.  Adam went to Meridian's basketball game.  He sat with Hope and the band.  He had fun teasing Jacob by texting him from Hope's phone.

Jared went to the urgent care this morning because his eyes have really been bothering him.  They said he has pink eye, most likely viral pink eye.  They still put up some medicine for him.  Adam had the day off school today. We went to town around noon to take Adam to the barber.  His barber was closed today.  We decided to find another barber.  Went to Ashman barber, grabbed a number and took a seat.  They were on #26 and we were #38.  We were the only ones waiting thought.  It was 1:15 and on the number 38 card said 4:15!  We keep the card and decided to come back rather than wait 3 hrs!  We stopped at McDonalds for lunch.  Took Eli home after school and then Adam and I headed back to the barber.  This evening we went to the pre festival concert for Meridian.  Nana and Papa came too.  After the concert Adam went with Hope and a couple other friends out to eat at Culvers.  

2/18/24

 After church we went shopping.  Put away groceries and then ate lunch.  Watched The A-team while we ate pizza.  Jared shot only one starling today.  He was bummed.  Those bad birds weren't coming to the feeder.  I tested fish tank water and did some water changes on the ones that needed it.  Eli and Daddy had alot of fun shooting the pellet guns.  Adam wasn't feeling too well and had a slight fever.  Jared's eyes are really bothering him and I think he might have pink eye.  This evening we had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched some A-team.  

2/17/24

 Jared went to town to get our Sat goodies.  Adam was already awake when we woke up and was playing bedwars.  Jared killed 3 starlings with his new gun.  There were lots of hungry birds today.  The boys played a game with Hope on their phones.  We hatched some baby brine shrimp and had fun feeding it to the fish.   We also frozen some in a silicone ice tray.  This afternoon we took Jacob back to college. He played great music for us to listen to on the drive.  After dropping him off we went to a couple pet stores.  Pruess pets is a huge store with alot of fish tanks.  Jared got a couple Amano shirmp to add to his tank.
