9/19/22

 Adam went to school this morning but texted me that he was having a hard time concentrating and had a terrible headache.  He wanted me to pick him up at lunchtime.  He checked in with the school athletic trainer.  I threw pots on the wheel today and made mugs.  This evening we went to the jv soccer game.  Adam wanted to go with us to watch the game.  He stood in the shade for the game.  Our team won 3-0.  All the points were made in the second half of the game.  Adam sure is bummed that he isn't playing.  Jacob had to be to Delta this evening for his Astromony class.  He got to look through the telescopes.  He didn't know how long they would be there so Jared decided to wait in the car. Jacob didn't get done until about 11:30.  Jared called me around 10:30 to say that his car was dead.  There was no-one around to give him a jump.  I called Mom and Dad and they went right away to give him a jump.  Thank you!!!  

9/13/- 9/18

Jared here again.  Mom and Dad drove north to visit this week.  They drove up the 13th Tuesday and headed out on the 18th Sunday afternoon.  The trip was to involve seeing the Grandsons in their native habitat activities.  Eli Soccer game, Adam Midland High Soccer game and Jacob Marching Band at half time during the football game.  Adam got hit with in the head with a line drive very hard soccer ball in the soccer game so he wasn’t able to play in the game Grandma and Grandpa would see.  bummer.  but they got to see Eli in his game and Jacob play in the marching band during half time of the football game.  2 out of 3.  

Of course mom brought up some plants, and Dad spoiled Wyatt a bit.  So we planted flowers.  And mom spend some time cleaning up the flower beds - just can’t keep her out of them.  I took mom and dad to dow gardens and the canopy walk there.  Wore them out - and me.  It was fun.  We played some 3-13 and taught mom and dad the board game Ticket to Ride.  

We went and checked out Jacob practicing with the Midland Concert Band in town.  Grandma snuck in at their break and took some pictures of Jacob.  They sounded real good. 

We hung out and relaxed and had a good time.  I showed them our new tractor and mowed a bit.  We had a camp fire and enjoyed the nice weather.  

9/12/22

 

Went to Adam’s soccer game vs Grand Blanc. He got hit hard in the head with the ball and went down. He was out the rest  of the game. This evening he said he doesnt remember what happened today. 

9/11/22

 We went to Frankenmuth bible church today for Matthew's baptism.  The music was great and the message was great.  We were all tears for Matthew's baptism.  We are so proud of him!!  Aunt Debbie and Uncle Tom treated us to Tim Horton's afterward.  We stopped at Best Buy because Adam wanted to buy a monitor and keyboard to set up a gaming computer.  We also stopped at the store for groceries.  We got a bunch of rain this evening.  We watched Rise of Gru and had pop popcorn and ice cream.  Played some bedwars with the boys. 

9/10/22

 We left around 7am and headed to Detroit for Adam's soccer game.  The game started at 10:00 and they had to be there around 9:00.  We played a tough team and lost 0-1.  They played hard.  We stopped at McDonalds on the way home.  Nana and Papa dropped Jacob off at 11:00 for the Founders day paraded that his band is playing in.  Vikki picked up Eli and they went to watch the parade.  She took Jacob home after the parade because he had alot of work to do.  We met Vikki at her house and the boys are spending the night there.  Eli went to youth group with Peyton and Isaac and had fun.  We help Vikki get a bunch of holes spackled and a crack in the ceiling taking care of.  We found the paint and painted too.  At home we watched some Home Improvement with Jacob.  

9/9/22

 I did some cleaning and then worked on making handles. Jacob was busy with school work.  Took him to school at 1:30.  He stayed after school today until the game.  I took Eli to McDonalds after school.  We met Jared at TSC and Adam came home with me and Eli went with Daddy to soccer practice.  Adam and I went to the football game and Jared and Eli met us there after soccer.  The marching band put on a great show at halftime.  Jared took Jacob and Eli to Nana and Papa's house to spend the night.  We have to leave early in the morning for Adam's soccer game in Detroit.  

9/8/22

Old vs new tractor

I threw mugs this morning before taking the boys to school.  I dropped Jacob and Eli off at school and then headed to my parents house.  I stopped at McDonalds to get coffee.  Vikki and I met at my parents house because we wanted to surprise them with coffee and donuts for their 49th anniversary.  We parked in the back and I called Mom.  I wished them a Happy anniversary on the phone as we were walking to the house.  I asked her where she was and she said they were on their way to Frankenmuth!  We didn't expect that haha.  They turned around and came home to enjoy their coffee and donuts.  We sat on the swing under the gazebo and Mom started the fireplace.  We had a nice visit.  At around 10:30 we left and headed to Vikki's.  We worked in the back yard to finish the job we'd started the other day.  We dug up plants and did alot of weeding and replanting.  We raked the dirt around the tree and took out alot of roots.  Vikki went to the store for grass seed and brought back slurpies.  We took a break and enjoyed the cold slurpie.  We worked until it was time to leave to get the kids.  Vikki drove me to the van at Mom's.  Eli took care of Bo and collected eggs.  He was really hungry so had some scrambled eggs and bacon.  Jacob had practice with the Midland concert band from 7:15-9:30.  Jared got the new part for the tractor put on.  He did some scraping in the driveway and also took some scoops of manure out of the lean-to.  We played some bedwars with Adam.
