6/22/22

We got to Vikki's house around 9:30.  Jacob stayed home because his new iPad is arriving today and he wanted to be home when it got there.  I trimmed Lenny and Lucys nails.  Then we helped Vikki and Rody work on cleaning the basement of Grammy's house.  There was alot of things to go through.  We started cleaning in the laundry room.  We filled alot of trash bags and the van is filled for goodwill. We went back to Vikki's to eat lunch.  Around 5:15 we headed to goodwill. Then we stopped at my parents to check on the kitty and make sure the cushions were put away.  Adam had to be to soccer practice at 7:00 and wanted to get there early.  We went home and ate dinner.  Jacob's new iPad is really nice.  We went to Adam's practice early so we could watch their scrimmage.  At home we watched the new Obi wan.  

6/21/22

 We worked on bracing with the boys sheep this morning.  The boys helped me pen off a section for Bo so he can eat the grass in that area.  Back inside the boys played some minecraft.  Jacob played 3-13 with me.  He was in the negatives the whole game.  It was super hot today.  Adam read a book in his hammock.  Eli helped me water some plants.  I put chicken wire around the hostas.  Jacob had an orthodontist appointment.  This evening Jared and I played 3-13 and I lost again.  It was a close game.  We played several fun games of uno flip with Jacob and Adam.  Then we played some bedwars.  

6/20/22

There was a thunderstorm during the night and we got a lot of rain.  It was cool this morning but it warmed up in the afternoon.  We worked with the sheep on trying to teach them how to brace.  We went to Meridian so we could pick up Jacob and Adam's yearbooks.  Stopped at McDonalds for goodies.  At home the boys started helping me clean the workshop.  Curt from our church came over to give us an estimate on taking a couple huge cottonwood trees out.  The boys came out to talk to him.  After he left we finished cleaning the workshop.  We also cleaned the barn.  There are sure alot of little frogs hopping around the pond.   When Jared got home he worked on spraying weeds.  After dinner I took Adam to soccer practice and then came back home.  Jared took Jacob to his clarinet lesson at 8:30.  I picked Adam up from practice at 9:00.

This morning we gave Daddy his Father's Day card and gift.  He got a bag of m&m's and a hat.  After church we came home and Jared used the new sprayer out in the paddock and along the ditch.  I took a walk around the yard and in the woods.  We got to my parents house around noon.  We warmed up leftovers from Hailey's graduation party for lunch.  The food was yummy.  We surprised Dad with a new wheelbarrow.  This one has two wheels.  Dad gave Melissa a ride in the yard.  We spent much of the day visiting and relaxing.  We set up some hammocks.   Jacob brought his instrument to practice.  We got home around 9:30.  The boys were all hungry so we put a couple pizza's in the oven and watched Three stooges.  

6/18/22

 It was such a nice cool day today.  The fire from yesterday was still warm so I added sticks and started another fire.  Mom met Jared at Tim Hortons so her kitty could come to our house.  Jared took down a dead maple tree.  It was hard to cut down because it was in the middle of a bunch.  We had to put a rope on it an pull it.  Adam mowed the lawn.  Jacob and Eli helped us clean up the tree.  Jared went to tsc to pick up a tow behind sprayer.  He sprayed the thistles in the paddock.  We left around 2:30 and headed to my parents house for Hailey's graduation party.  We helped Melissa get last minute things ready.  The party started at 4:00 and we got done just before that.  Everything was so nice and we had a great time.  It was  really nice to see Tim and Cathy and we visited for a long time.  They are great friends and were our neighbors growing up.  As kids we spent alot of time at their house.  Their daughter Brittany was in our wedding.  After most people left we sat by the fire and made s'mores.  

6/17/22

Eli was up early.  I woke Jacob and Adam at 10:30 because Vikki and Peyton were coming over.  They got here around 11:00.  Vikki and I are making chocolate chip cookies for Hailey's graduation party tomorrow.  Our first batch we didn't put enough flour in so it turned out really runny.  We made over 100 cookies.  We sure had alot of fun.  I had to leave to take Adam to his eye dr appointment.  He wanted to try contacts but they said he's not ready.  He tried but couldn't get them in.  He really didn't want glasses so we ended up getting a pair prescription sunglasses and a pair of glasses.  Back at home we finished making cookies.  We finished around 3:00.  We made pizza rolls for the kids and had noodle salad for a really late lunch.  Jared came home and we sat on the deck for a little while.  Adam went  in the woods to relax in his hammock.  Jacob wanted to earn some money so he weeded the garden.  That took him a few hours.  We started a fire in the woods and relaxed in our hammocks.  We grilled hot dogs over the fire for dinner.  It was a nice night to sit by the fire.  The boys sheep are learning quickly.  Jacob has been saving his money and ordered an ipad that he is very excited about.  

6/16/22

 Eli was up early and watched tv for awhile and then read his book.  He played with legos in his bedroom. Jacob woke up around noon and Adam slept in until 12:30!  Wow they were tired.  The boys helped me with some cleaning the house today. It was a hot day, high 80's.  The humidity was low and it was windy.  I sat on the deck and it felt nice.  Adam set up his hammock in the woods and stayed out there for a long time.  We got some hard gusts of wind.  It almost tipped the table over and the umbrella was closed.  The wind chime sounded pretty.  The power went out for a few hours.  Jacob and Eli came to sit outside.  When Jared got home from work he came out too.  After dinner we headed into town to take Adam to soccer practice.  Then we took Jacob to his clarinet lesson with some clarinet players from the midland concert band.   We went to tsc to pick up my dad's Father's Day gift.  We had went in together with my sisters and mom on a two wheel wheel barrel.  I picked it up at the midland tsc.  It had been sitting outside and was dented and rusty.  We returned it and went to Home Depot.  They didn't have any so we headed to Lowes.  We found a nice one there.  We picked up Adam and then Jacob around 9pm and headed home.  Eli and I made up some bug spray with a solution from tsc.  We took it out and sprayed Bo.  The flies were really bite him.  We watched the new Obi wan.
