5/26/22

Today is Jacob's 17th birthday and he gets to spend it at Disney.  He said they had a busy day at the parks. He rode his first big rollercoaster and loved it.  His band got to work with a Disney recording artist.   During this time they recorded the soundtrack to Frozen and put it underneath the opening credits of the real movie. Eli had a half day at school today and Adam got out at 12:30. Today I trimmed pots and added handles. I finished 4 mugs and 6 soup bowls. This evening Jared and I took Eli to his soccer practice. It was fun to watch their scrimmage. Eli is so fast with the ball. It sprinkled off and of while we were there. At home made a late dinner. Then we played a bedwars game with the boys. Jacob called so we got to talk to the birthday boy for a few minutes. He sounded tired but he had a fun day.

5/25/22

I talked to Vikki on the phone for a long time today.  She was on speaker phone while I threw on the wheel.  I made some mugs and soup bowls.  Adam had testing at school today and could leave after he was done.  I picked him up around 1:00.  He had walked to McDonalds with Sawyer and Claire for lunch but he didn't have any cash on him.  He still enjoyed walking with them.  We stopped there on our way home.  After picking up Eli I took him to McDonalds for a treat too.  Jacob is in Florida and send me some pictures.  Adam had a 4:00 eye dr appointment.  He's really doesn't want glasses so he is going to try contacts.  He's not too happy about those either.  They didn't have his prescription in stock so we have to come back for a contact lesson.  We had tacos for dinner.  After dinner we played 3-13.  Adam won.  I had the high score.  We then took a long walk in the woods and down the road.  We saw a new fawn on the side of the road.  It was so cute.  I was a rainy day.  We played some minecraft before bed.  

5/24/22

After dropping Eli off at school I took Jacob to the high school to drop off his bags and instrument for Florida.  He put them in the band room.  We then went the the barber shop in town and Jacob went in for a haircut.  We stopped at Tim Horton's on our way to my parents house.  Soon after we got there Charlie came over and we had a nice visit with him.  We started a game of 3-13 but quit when Kenzie got there with Mylee.  Mylee is coming home with us because Kenzie and Travis are going to a show in Illinois.  We took a walk around to look at plants and sat on the deck.  It was another beautiful cool day.  Papa took Jacob to school.  Nana and I went to Sam's club to see if they had any clematis.  She got her's from there a couple years ago and its doing so well.  She got some mixed nuts.  We talked to Vikki on the phone and she sounded terrible. She took a covid test and its positive.  I left around 2:00 to head to school to pick up Adam.  After picking up Eli we headed home.  Jared met me there.  I walked Mylee around outside.  Her and Wyatt sure had fun playing.  Jared and I went back to the school to see Jacob's buses leave for Florida.  Most of the kids were already in the buses including Jacob.  When Jacob saw us he came out to chat and say goodbye.  He was wearing some heart sunglasses that were given to him by his clarinet section.  This evening Eli had a soccer game.  Eli did such a great job playing defense.  We were down by several points but ended up winning 6-5.  Adam watched another game from kids in his age group.  We ate a late dinner when we got home.  We facetimed Kenzie and Travis.  Played some Minecraft with the boys.  Jacob messaged me and said they were watching Lightning McQueen.  

5/23/22

 It was s nice cool day and the sun was shining.  It was a nice day to walk around the yard.  I filled the bird feeders.  Jacob worked on packing for his Florida trip.  I took Jacob to school at 12 and went inside to get a school transcript for Adam.  I went to the store to get Jacob some things for his trip.  I met Jared at work because he had a couple papers I needed for Adam.  After picking up Adam I headed to Meridian.  Stopped at McDonalds to get Adam a frappe and the boys some chocolate chip cookies.  The traffic was busy and there was a big turtle in the road.  I had its head and feet tucked in and I was able to miss hitting it.  I really wanted to stop and help it across but the traffic was so busy.  I picked the boys up and headed back in that direction to see if I could help it.  I was too late.  Someone had hit it.  I was parked on the side of the road waiting to get back on the road and I was looking at the turtle to see what kind it was.  A big truck then it the turtle and it made a loud cracking sound and exploded.  I was talking to Vikki on the phone at the time and I yelled that I didn't want to see that.  Gross!  We headed to the Secretary of State for an appointment for Adam to get his permit.  Jacob walked to the barber but they were closed.  Adam didn't pass his eye exam so we have to come back.  He was very dissapointed.  I made him an eye appointment for Wednesday.  He was thinking about getting glasses but has decided to try contacts.  Jared met is in town and took Jacob to his clarinet lesson.  Eli went with them and had fun walking around Bay City with Daddy.  They visited the candy store.  Adam and I went home for a little while and then headed to the soccer complex for practice.  Jared and the boys met us there.  We had fun watching Adam practice. Then Daddy took Adam to his guitar lesson and Eli went with them.  I took Jacob to the store to get snacks for his trip.  He finished packing when we got home.  We ate a late dinner of oven pizza's.  

5/22/22

We woke Jacob up this morning singing Happy birthday. Today we are celebrating his 17th birthday because he will be in Florida for a school trip next week. We had donuts for breakfast. Jacob opened his birthday gifts. He got a spiderco knife, a hat, wall charger, bike phone holder, battery cell, a shirt and some shorts, mints, candy and some money. After church we drove around town waiting for Good Times to open. We picked up pizza and breadsticks for lunch. Stopped at the gas station for pops. After lunch we played some minecraft. Then Jacob and Adam raced on mario kart. Jared started mowing the lawn and Eli finished it. We took a walk in the woods. It was such a nice cool day. Nana and Papa came over around 5:30 and we had a nice visit with them. Mom and I took a walk around the yard to look at the plants. We had cake and ice cream and sang to Jacob and also sang to Adam. Mom brought angle food cake with strawberries and cool whip. Yummy!  We found we have a jip peanut butter that was part of the recall. We had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched tv. Took some nice walks in the woods today. A deer has rubbed on some more trees. It killed our Charlie brown tree. Jacob and Adam practiced their instrumens for a long time. Adam came out and played a song for us. We played bedwars and stayed up late playing with Jacob. It was a fun day celebrating Jacob’s 17th birthday.
