Peter

Jacob had a lot of school work to do today.  We finished reading Little Town on the Prairie and started Those Happy Golden Years.  We bought a new lamp for between our chairs and picked it up from Home Depot this evening.  I did some cleaning and shampooed the hallway carpet.  We watched Narnia Prince Caspian.

4/23/2020

Adam had a zoom meeting at 9:00 and Eli's math meeting started at 9:30.  Jacob a meeting at 11:30.  After the boys finished school work we watched the Hope Rising Concert. We read Little House for a long time.  I worked on shampooing the other half of the living room. It looks so nice.  Eli went outside and came back in saying that something funny happened in the chicken coop.  He said a chick flew over to wall and was loose in the coop.  He thought it was pretty funny.   When Jared was done with work we went outside to take care of the animals.  Eli came with us.  Gavin came over and with a homemade card.  He put it in the back of our van which was already open.  The card was really cute.  We went in the barn and found Eli's old polish chicken had died in the bucket where the chicken lay their eggs.  She was moving slow yesterday.  We had spaghetti for dinner.  After dinner Jared, Adam and I played several games of Sequence.

Eli had a zoom meeting with his reading teacher today.  Then he worked on Lexia.  I read to the boys until Jacob's 11:30 zoom meeting.  Jacob had 3 more zoom meetings after lunch.  Eli worked on some math and then a writing assignment.  He has to write about if he would want to live in a castle, on a farm or on a houseboat and why.  He didn't even have to think about it.  He loves living on a farm.  And he wants horses.  Jared came home for lunch and we played Sequence with Adam.  When Jared finished work we went to TSC and meijer.  We had to get chick food and some groceries.  When we got home my new shampooer vacuumed had been delivered.  Thank you Mom and Dad!!!  Jared and Adam helped me put it together.  We moved furniture to on side of the room.  Jared vacuumed and then we took turns trying the new shampooer.  It is so nice and there are so many features on it I love.  Jared and the boys played minecraft while I finished that side of the room. Then the boys told me it was 7:00 and they were hungry so we grilled up some hotdogs and had chips for dinner.  We watched Sister Act 2.  I made a couple more batches of freezer Jam.  Jacob had a book report poster to work on so he stayed up late to finish it.  It was due by midnight.

The boys were up around 7:30.  They watched some tv and then got started on school work.  Adam thought he had a 9am zoom meeting but its not until Thurs.  Eli's zoom meeting started at 9:30.  The boys worked on school work until around lunchtime.  Jared came home for lunch and he Adam and I played a few games of Sequence.  After lunch we headed into town for a store pick up.  I thought I was going to be able to do curbside pickup but that wasn't an option so I had to go in.  I wore a mask and the workers were all wearing masks.  At home I did some sanding on the deck.  Eli helped us take care of the animals.  He loves to go to the barn and see the lambs.  Adam, Daddy, and I played some more games of Sequence while waiting for dinner to be done.  Then Daddy and I played again after dinner.  Jared won 4 games and I won 3.  Adam went to play in the sand. Jacob did some reading and Eli played with legos.  Adam, Eli, Jared and I made strawberry freezer jam.  Then we played 3-13 and Jared won again.

Show and tell 

Eli had a zoom meeting and his class did show and tell today.  He wanted to show one of the little lambs.  The kids liked seeing the lamb.  The boys spent the next few hours working on school work. Eli had PE and we all got some good laughs watching him do his exercises.  He was funny.  He could barely do 4 sit ups.  Jacob did push ups and sit ups.  Adam had a zoom meeting after lunch. Then I read for a long time.  I worked on power washing the deck for the next few hours.  Adam and Eli played in the sand.  It was another very windy day.  The boys all practiced instruments.  Eli sent a few videos to his music teacher and she sent him a very nice reply.  She was super impressed.  Jared and the boys played minecraft.  Adam, Jared and I played Sequence. We watched a movie this evening and then played a game of 3-13.  Daddy won.

Oscar had green on his head

After church we took care of the animals and then we headed into town to get some rec fuel.   We went to Lowe's to get some orange citrus stripper.  We are going to see if it helps to get off the deck paint.  We made pizza and breadsticks for lunch.  Adam and Eli spent a lot of time playing in the sand.  Jacob did alot of reading.  Jared power washed the smaller decks. I worked on painting stripper on the deck. We took a walk in the woods.  Saw lots of fish in the pond.  We had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched a marvel movie.

Adam and Eli slept on our bedroom floor last night.  Adam had a hard time getting to sleep.  The boys woke up early to watch tv.  We had Saturday goodies with donuts and banana bread.  I read a few chapters from Little House.  We set up our new power washer.  The boys had fun with it.  We washed the van and it looks so nice.  Eli was funny to watch with the power washer because it would jerk him back and make us laugh.  We also power washed the back deck.  Adam and Eli played in the sand.  Nana and Papa came over to bring masks and we had a nice visit by the swing.  We stayed apart but took a walk around the house to look at the plants.  Mom also brought a huge pack of donuts for the boys and me some cinnamon.  Jared and I played 9 games of Sequence.  I won 5 and he won 4.  After dinner we went outside.  It was so windy today.  All the boys played in the sand until it got too dark.  Jared and I took a walk in the woods and down the road.  The boys took showers and we read.  We had fun playing with Wyatt and his favorite toy.
