Adam was crying on the way to school as he was thinking about Nik moving away.  I took my break late today and went over to spend a little time with Eli for the parent picnic.  Daddy picked him up a Happy Meal.  His friend Gage and his mom sat by us and Gage talked a lot.  It was a really warm day today.  When the boys got home from school Adam, Eli and I went for a swim. Burr, the water was freezing!  I got used to it and had fun playing with the boys.  Adam had soccer practice this evening.  Jacob and I played a game of tonk on the deck and Eli worked on some “experiments.”  The boys talked Daddy into going in the pool this evening and they made a whirlpool.   Jared and I took a walk in the woods while the boys got ready for bed.

Vikki and the kids came over this evening for a visit.  Nik came over and the kids all had fun playing in the pool.  Lenny, Lucy and Wyatt played in the pen while we sat by the pool and visited.  Nik's family came over and said he had to leave right away to go to the vet.  He came back afterwards and said he had to put his dog to sleep.  He also said his mom applied for a job in TX so they might be moving.  We will all be very sad if Nik moves away.  Jared got home from work late and finished mowing the lawn.  Vikki picked a bunch of lilacs to take home. I gave Lenny a nail trim.  Vikki headed home after 8:00.  Jared and I took a walk in the woods with Wyatt.  

5-22-18

I worked late today because the head cook is still sick.  After work I went home and took a walk in the woods with Wyatt.  It was cool and 59 degrees when I got out but warmed up quickly and was in the 70's when the boys got home.  Nik came over and the kids played in the pool.  It was really cold but Jacob says not as cold as Lake Superior.  Adam had a DARE field trip to the Loons baseball field today.  Eli and Adam had soccer practice this evening.  Jacob and I played a game of tonk on the back deck.  Wyatt barked at the cats and then took a nap on the glider.  Jared did some mowing when he got home and I worked on weeding the flower beds and putting preen down.

The head cook is sick so I worked late today.  It was a rainy day.  We finished filling the pool.  Adam and Eli took a quick swim this evening. Nik thought about jumping in but he decided he didn't want to walk home in wet clothes.  We took several walks in the woods and Jared got me wet by shaking the trees.  Daddy, Jacob, Eli and I played a game of tonk.

5-20-18

This afternoon we went to Midland center for the arts for the Midland concert band.  Nana, Aunt Bippi and Peyton also came.  After intermission Jacob joined the band with the other scholarship kids.  They handed out award certificate to the kids.  We really enjoyed the concert and Jacob had a lot of fun playing with the band.  Afterwards Nana treated us to ice cream at Culver's.  This evening we watched Inspector gadget and had popcorn, pop, and ice cream.

5-19-18

I got up around 6:30 to let Wyatt outside and then went back to bed.  Jared and I slept in a little this morning.  Jared went into town for goodies.  As soon as he got back we headed into town for Eli's soccer game.  It was a rainy day today and rained during the game.  After the game we went to pick up a used swimming pool.  At home we started setting up the pool and it was missing all the T tubes.  The guy apologized and met Jared halfway to get the parts.  Jared met us at the soccer field.  Adam had a soccer game at 4:00.  After the game I stopped at the store for pool chemical's.  Jared and Jacob were working on setting up the pool when I got home.  After dinner we finished setting up the pool and it is filling with water.
