Jared and I got a surprise package in the mail from Grandma!

Love my new slippers!!  

The head cook at the high school is going to need surgery on her broken foot so I am going to be working breakfast at the jr high for awhile longer.  Not sure how long but it could even be the rest of the school year.  The boys like getting to school early and are happy about it but I sure do miss dropping them off at school.  Otherwise I really enjoy working breakfast.  I stayed late today because I was also covering for Tammy (pizza cook) because she is sick today.  After school Nik came over the the boys played on the ice.  Eli is feeling great today. He had a sub today because his teacher is sick.  Jared and I made some cups on the wheel this evening and Eli made a bowl.  His started out to be a cup but the top came off and he made a bowl.

1-23-18

Eli woke up in the middle of the night with a belly ache.  He slept on our floor and was sick many times during the night.  Daddy took a half day off work and stayed home with Eli until I got out of work.  He was feeling better when I got home but spent the day on his cot.

It was a rainy day today.  School just north of us were closed today (and tomorrow) because of icy roads.  After dinner we watched a When Calls the Heart.  Then we played games until bedtime.

After church we stopped for groceries and pizza.  This afternoon Jared and I worked on trimming and putting handles on our mugs.  Nik came over for a couple hours to play.  This evening we watched When Calls the Heart and had popcorn, pop, and ice cream.

Adam and Eli were in their boxes watching tv this morning.  Around 9:30 we headed into town for drinks and goodies and then we went to the library.  We got some books and then headed to Runyan's pottery store in Clio.  We had fun looking around the store.  We got a few pottery items and clay.  The boys made some big tents and did some reading.  Jared and I made some pottery on the wheel.

Excited for our new puppy!  Hopefully he will be coming home April-June.  

Today was a half day at school.  Adam waited for me in the cafeteria and Jacob was in the van.  We got Eli off the bus and headed home.  The boys were excited to open some boxes with some things for our new puppy. Jacob helped me put the new crate together.   Around 1:15 I headed to Lucky's restaurant because my boss is treating the Meridian kitchen employees to a meal.  I had a nice time.  Went to the pet store before heading home.  Jared was home when I got there.  Adam and Eli looked comfy in their boxes.  This evening we watched When Calls the Heart.  Jacob and I played a few games of Sequence.  Adam came out with us to check on the sheep.  Still waiting for lambs.

Mom came over today around 1:00.  We had sub sandwiches and a fruit parfait for lunch. We made some coffee and had a nice visit.  We played a game of Sequence before going down to get the boys.  Nana played a couple games of Sequence with Jacob and Adam.
