Day 3

Uncle Rick playing games on his iPad.  He was very happy that the family house had wifi.  The boys enjoyed watching.

He we are enjoying the store.  Found some cool finger puppets.  Kenzie found one to go along with each of our animals back home on the farm.  Funny.  Eli chilling out in a rocking chair trying not to smile.

Made a tour through the green house.  Last year we found a frog and we searched and searched again this year however it seems that the frog has moved on to another home.  Saw lots of really cool plants.

Play dough was brought again.  Lots of cool creations.  The adults even let the kids play with it once in a while.

Uncle Dee brought down a really cool puzzle from Fr Anthony.  We spent many hours putting it together.  Above is the brain trust in hard concentration.  Hopefully it wasn't too hard on Dad's heart after his two new stints.

Well one of the highlights was Br Martin's cooking.  Br Martin brought down ingredients for spring rolls as well as fried egg rolls.  Br. Martin along with a couple of other monks put together some spring rolls and peanut sauce that was amazing!  Then he fried some freshly made egg rolls as well.  All ingridents were vegetarian.  Some tofu that was also made by Br. Martin went in both the spring rolls and egg rolls.  Br. Martin got Jacob to try an egg roll and Jacob reluctantly tried it.  Jacob then realized that he "loves" egg rolls and proceeded to eat another 3.  Jacob ate more the next day.  We are still trying to convince Jacob to write Br Martin a letter requesting his egg roll recipe.  Another great day in GA

Turkey 2013 - Day 1

Today we left at around 5pm ish to head to GA.  The plan drive to lexington KY and spend the night then get up the next day and complete the journey.  Everyone rode great.  Kenzie and Jacob in the far back, Adam and Eli in the front.  All went very well and we arrived in Lexington at the hotel around midnight.  Everyone settled down..eventually.  Kenzie and Jacob and Adam in one double bed and Kimmy Eli and I in the other.  I had maybe about 6 inches of space to sleep in as everyone slid my direction.  We got up and had breakfast and hit the road around 9am.  Just south of Lexington traffic game to a grinding stop and we sat for over an hour.  Started rolling again and had smooth driving until Atlanta.  It rained the entire way but not too bad.  On the way to the lego store we hit more slow traffic.  Made it to the Lego store in good shape.  All the boys filled up pick a brick containers.  Eli had help with Kimmy and Kenzie working exceptionally hard to cram in as many pieces as possible.  In total small and large Kimmy nd Kenzie managed to squeeze in over 800 pieces.  Crazy!!  We then headed to the monastery and made it there in fine shape.  Nice to be done driving and ready to relax.

11-24-13

We set up our Christmas tree this evening.

Jacob set up the nativity.

The boys liked pulling down the tree branches. Adam helped Eli and asked, "Do you want me to push this up so you can pull it down?" When it wouldn't stay up he took him around to the back where some were still up and said, "Here you can pull these ones down."

Silly Eli

Tomorrow we are heading to GA. The boys are very excited! Adam said, "Guess where we are going tomorrow?" and he sounded out the word Georgia.
