10/11/22

Jared’s rental car

 Jared took the day off work today.  We got the boys off to school and the worked on loaded up the sheep.  We have 10 lambs and 5 ewes to take to market.  We couldn't fit them all in one trip so we took the lambs first.  Jacob was awake when we got back.  We went to Midland to pick Adam up from school.  He had a bad headache.  We also stopped to get Jared's rental car for his trip tomorrow. We loaded up the ewes and the headed back to Alma.  We dropped Jacob off at school on the way.  He was too embarrassed for us to drive up to school with the sheep in the trailer so we dropped him off at the elementary school and he walked to the high school.  Haha.  We sure had fun driving through the country and taking the sheep.  We decided to keep the ram at least for another year.  We want to see how it is with less sheep. And Eli enjoys lambing so much.   When we got back it was after 2:00.  We decided to shear the ram.  I sheared him until it was time to get the boys and then Jared finished.  Jared mowed the lawn.  After dinner I left with Eli for soccer practice.  Jared took Jacob to band practice.  We played some bedwars with the boys.  Jared and I glazed pots this evening.  Jared went to bed early because he has to get up around 2:30!  It was windy and raining this evening. 

10/10/22

 Today I dug up the annual plants that were dead and took them to the compost.  Adam's head was really hurting so I picked him up at his lunchtime.  This afternoon he helped me get all the sheep into a stall.  Wyatt helped us too.  It went quickly with their help.  This eventing we went to watched Adam's soccer team play their last game.  Jared had to leave at halftime with Jacob for a college meeting at school.  The score was 2-2.  It was a great game. We ate a late dinner when we got home.  

10/9/22

 We all slept in this morning until around 10am.  We watched church online.  Around 11:30 we headed into town because Jacob wanted to find some black dress shoes for his concert today.  He had to be at the dow event center at 12:30 to help set up.  Jared and I walked around Dow gardens next door until concert time. The concert didn't start until 3:00 but we got there at 2:00 because we didn't want to miss the clarinet choir.  Jacob didn't know what time they were playing but it was before the concert.  Mom met us there.  It was fun to see Jacob's clarinet group perform.  The concert was awesome too. Jacob had been there for 4 hrs and was exhausted when we left.  He was really hungry too so we stopped at McDonalds.  We picked up pizza's and stopped at the store for groceries on the way home. We unloaded the kiln this evening.  We also waxed pots and glazed the insides.

 Jared went to town to get our Sat goodies.  Jacob and I went to Old Navy to get some clothes for his senior pictures.  Jared and Jacob met Uncle Rody at Dow Gardens today at noon for senior pictures.  Vikki came over this afternoon.  We left with Adam around 4:00 to head to Dow Gardens to meet Claire for homecoming pictures.  Her parents came too and we walked all over taking lots of pictures.  Adam gave Claire a pretty wrist corsage.  It was chilly with the wind.  We saw Sawyer and some other friends to get pictures with.  Jared met my Mom and Eli at the soccer field around 3:30 for his 4:00 game.  Jared noticed that our kitty Thor hitched a ride in the van.  Mom took him home after the game and also dropped off Eli.  Eli scored a goal in the game.  Jared met us at Dow gardens so he could meet Claire's parents.  They went to Bay city and took Adam with them to go out to dinner.  They ended up going to Cracker Barrel.  Vikki, Jared and I went to Big Boy and had lots of fun.  Adam's homecoming dance went until 11pm.  He had a great time.
