4/16/22

 

We were up around 7:30.  Jacob practiced his instrument this morning.  I made a pie and got some dough going in the bread machine.  Jared and Jacob left around 8:30 to get our Sat goodies.  Jared dropped Jacob off on the way back so he could ref a 10:00 game.   It was very cold today and Jacob didn't dress warm enough.  It was in the 30's all day and very windy.  Jared came home to give us our goodies and then headed back to get Jacob.  That game went long.  I packed sandwiches and snacks because we were going to be gone until later.  We left around 11:00 to head to the soccer field.  We passed Jared on the way and got Jacob's soccer jersey because Eli doesn't fit in his anymore.  Jacob didn't want to play soccer this season.  He's pretty busy with other things.  Jacob wanted to get some more practice time in but he only got about 20 min.  I had some rolls rising and Jared put them in the oven for me.  Adam and Eli's games were at the same time today, starting at noon.  Jared went to the first half of Adam's game and I went to Eli's.  Adam's team played the other top team in the league.  It was a very tense game and ended with a tie, 2-2.  Eli's played center defense and center forward.  He had a really nice cross in front of the goal which made our first goal.  He had a nice shot on goal but the goalie blocked it.  His team lost 5-4.  They played hard. Jacob was center referee at 1:45.  Adam referred at 2:00 and 4:00. Jared had to go home to get Jacob's instrument.  He also brought Adam a long sleeved shirt so he could have it for the 4:00 game.  He only wore shorts and a t-shirt at the 2:00 game. Jared also started the dough that I had ready to go in the bread machine.  Adam's 4:00 game started late because the center ref was a no show.  The other AR ref did the center ref job.  Jared left with Jacob and they headed to Bay City for Jacob. When Adam's game was done around 5:30 he ran to the van to get in the heat.  He was really cold.  This evening we watched tv and had popcorn pop and ice cream.  We played some miencraft with the boys.

4/15/22

 It was another cold and windy day today.  Eli and I went shopping so he could pick out some koi fish and things for in his tank.  He named his fish Biscuit and Marshmallow.  They will eventually be going in the pond.  The neighbor boy Braydon came over this afternoon and stayed for several hour.  They had fun playing in the bedroom and went out to the sandhill to play.  Jared and I played 3-13. Then we played Euchre with Jacob and Adam.  Jim, our neighbor came over and asked us if we had pigs.  He said he saw some walking down the road and thought maybe they came in our yard.  The boys helped them look but we didn't find them.  After he left I saw the pigs running down the road.  They turned around and came back by our property.  The boys all came out to help us round them up and lead them into the barn and into a stall.  Jared drove to a neighbors house around the corner on Stark and found out the pigs belong to them.  They came over with a big crate and put the pigs in it.  We put the crate on our wagon and pulled it around the barn and helped them load it on the truck.  The wagon worked really well.  Jared said they could take it with them to use to haul them back to their pig pen.  They were happy about that.  Jared and Jacob followed them back to their place to help them get the crate out of the truck because it was really heavy.  He just had his wife and two small kids.  We sent Braydon home so we could have dinner.  After dinner we colored Easter eggs.  They boys had so much fun!  Then we played some Minecraft before bed.  

4/14/22

 

Adam had off school today and the other boys had a half day.  Jacob and Adam cleaned sheep stalls today for me.  They got it down quickly.  Adam was gagging some.  They had pizza and pop for lunch when they came inside.  Eli and I went outside to look for fish in the pond.  It was cold and very windy so we didn't stay out for long.  Eli caught a couple fish.  I picked Adam up from drivers training at 5:30.  Jacob came with me.  Then we headed to Adam's soccer practice.  Jared took Eli to his practice.  At 7:00 I took  Jacob to practice with the Midland concert band.  That was from 7:15-9:30.  Adam's practiced ended at 7:30.  

4/13/22

 I came home to take care of the animals after taking Jacob and Eli to school.  Jacob has SAT's today.  Then  I went to town to do some Easter basket shopping.  Adam has PSAT's today so he finished around 11:30 and I picked him up.  We went to McDonalds for a treat.  I put Easter baskets together at home.  At 1:30 I picked Jacob up from school.  Then at 2:55 we picked Eli up from school and took Adam to drivers training.   Jared picked Adam up on  his way home from work.  We had taco's for dinner. Jared took Jacob and Adam to youth group.  Eli and I had fun looking for fish.  Eli tried many times to catch fish.  He really wanted to jump in the pond but he decided not to.  We got out his kayak he paddled around the pond.  We saw and heard the yellow bellied sapsucker.  Jared came home for awhile before he had to go back to pick up the boys.  Eli finally caught some fish in the shallow water.  He was so happy and wanted me to get some pictures. 

4/12/22

 I had a mammogram appointment this morning.  It was my first visit and I was in and out in about 15 minutes!  Geez that was fast.  I went shopping at old navy and Walmart.  I dropped Adam off at drivers training and then went to the barber so Jacob could get a haircut.  He said they used a straight razor on his neck, like Floyd the barber on Andy Griffith.  Haha.  Jared picked Adam up on his way home from work.  This evening we played Minecraft with the boys.  The boys practiced their instruments.  Adam has PSAT's tomorrow and Jacob has SAT's.  Jacob studied until late.  

4/11/22

Adan woke us up early this morning to tell us that there was lots of loud thunder and bright lightening.  I opened the shade so we could see it.  Once the thunder was so loud it made me jump. I dropped Jared off at work today and he started walking to work.  He has to walk a little over 1/2 mile from where I can drop him off.  I headed to Adam's school and saw the light on that it couldnt detect the keyless remote.  Jared had it in his pocket.  We turned around and Jared walked back to meet us with the key.  I went to McDonalds and got Eli a hashbrown with my rewards points.  After dropping Eli off I went to the gas station for gas.  Jacob woke up shortly after I got home.  We watched some Tim Hawkins.  We also played some games of Sequence. I cleaned out our bedroom closet and found a place for the projector and slides.  I took Jacob to school a 12:30.  After picking up the boys from school I took Adam to driver's training.  Drivers training is Mon-Thurs from 3:30-5:30.  Then we picked Jared up from work and headed to the auto shop to pick up the van.  Jared went back to work and we headed home.  I made dinner before I had to leave to meet Jared at the soccer field.  Jared picked Adam up from drivers training and got him a couple burger from McDonalds.  Adam's soccer practice went from 6:00 - 7:30.  Practice went long though.  Jared went to Dunhams to get Adam a new soccer ball and made it back before his practice started.  Adam sure was happy to be back doing soccer again.  From there Jared took Adam to Bay city for  his guitar lesson which is from 8:30-9:00.  When I got home Jacob wss practicing his instrument. He had started after I left.  He had homework to do after that.  Eli was watching tv.  Adam played some minecraft for a little while after a busy day. 

4/10/22

 We were up around 8:00.  Adam and Eli were up but Jacob slept until around 10:00.  We watched church online.  It was such a beautiful day outside.  We went to town to get groceries and lunch. We dropped the van off at the auto shop on the way. After lunch we sat outside on the deck in the suushine.  We took a walk in the  woods and saw a yellow bellied sapsucker the the pine tree.  We watched it for awhile until it flew to another tree.  Melissa and her family came over this afternoon.  We had a great visit. Adam got to show them his new bedroom.  They haven't been in the house since covid.  Jack and Eli had fun played with nerf guns and then went out to the sand hill.  Evan looked through the lego bins.  He showed us some cool things he's building on his minecraft world.  Max played risk with Jacob and Adam.  They picked out snacks and pops for the drive home.  Jared and I went outside to sit on the swing by the fire.  We saw a bunch of fish in the pond.  They were much bigger this year.  We called to talk to Grandma and Grandpa.  Played some minecraft with the boys.  We watched tv and had pop popcorn and ice cream.
