Eli lost a tooth

Adam woke up early but the rest of us slept in.  We watched a Dukes of Hazards and had our Sat goodies. We spent most of the day outside.  It was a beautiful cool day today.  Adam mowed the lawn and Jacob weed wacked.  The boys did a lot of walking in the woods and up and down the road.   We pulled a lot of virginia creeper in the woods and added it to the burn pile.   Jared and I stained the deck railing and will finish it tomorrow.  The boys started a fire for us to sit by this evening.  Adam and Jacob used the hatchet to cut down a small dead tree.  Then they went on a walk to get some more steps.  Adam brought the chess board out by the fire.  He played a couple games of chess with Daddy and then a couple with Eli.

The boys woke up around 8:30.  We spent a lot of time outside.  Jacob and Adam enjoyed walking and talking about minecraft.  I pulled alot of virginia creeper vines.  We have so much growing in our woods and I'd like to get rid of it.  Eli took Wyatt for a walk.  The garden is looking so good.  Jared got done with work a little early.  We took a walk in the woods and over to the garden.  Then we worked on fixing our old dump cart and roundup sprayer.  The hose was rotted and the tires needed to be fixed.  Jared went to TSC and meijer.  After dinner we went outside and the boys did alot of walking/running.  Eli won in steps today with 27000.  The other two were not far behind that.  The boys worked with their sheep.  Jacob build a fire and we sat out there until around 10:00. The boys made s'mores.

6/11/2020

The boys all slept in this morning.  They watched tv and then we took a walk in the woods.  It was really windy outside.  Daddy came home for lunch and played a couple games of chess with Adam.  Adam won both games.  I played a couple games and I lost both.  I went to town to get groceries.  Nik came over just after I left.  The boys were in the pool when I got home.  I picked up some ice cream and we had ice cream cones.  I got Nik's favorite blue moon ice cream.  We had to go to school to drop of Jacob's computer and pick up other items for the boys.  Connie met us there and is donating 2 large bags of pop bottles for Jacob's Disney trip.  She also brought 3 bags of skittles for Eli and some no baked cookies for us.  She is so sweet!!  We went to Lowe's to get a new trash.  It has a trash on one side and a recycling on the other.  After dinner we played a game of 3-13 and Adam won.

Last day of school

Daddy found a baby turtle in the garden.

Eli was making lemonade and Daddy thought he was stirring with is hand.  

The boys were all sleeping when we got up around 7am.  They soon were awake.  We made pancakes and scrambled eggs for breakfast. Eli had his last zoom meeting with his teachers and the 4th grade today. Adam went to the neighbors house to mow his lawn. It was so hot and muggy out.  Jared took the power washer over there to clean his propane tank and the cement pad it's sitting on.  We played 3-13 with Nik until Jacob's 11:00 zoom meeting.  Eli, Nik and I played a new game until Jacob came back out.  We didn't get to finish either game because Nik's mom came to get him.  I looked out the window and there was a deer and her fawn walking down our road.  We had a big thunderstorm with lots of rain this afternoon.  The garden is looking really good.  Adam beat me in three games of chess.  Then later he beat Daddy in 3 games.   Today was the boys last day of school.  This evening we played 3-13 with Jacob and Daddy won.  He ended in the negatives.  Adam wanted us to play again so he could play. This game I won.

Adam is taller than Jacob.

Nik came over this afternoon.  The boys had a great time together.  They visited, played games, played in the pool and played in the sand.  Jared went to town to get pizza's and breadsticks for dinner.  Megan picked up Nik so he could go out to dinner with his family.  She brought him back later to spend the night.  We had a fun nerf war, Jared and I vs the boys.  Nik ripped his shirt on a little nail sticking out from the trim. And Wyatt puked up food on Nik's foot.  The boys ate pizza and stayed up really late watching tv.

Jared here. Mom and Dad came to visit on a last minute invite.  They arrived Friday evening with a couple of plants- cup flower and a pea plant.  Mom also brought with her the monarch caterpillars she’s been raising.  Eli was so interested and he certainly learned lot.  - She left some with us and most are now in a chrysalis.  We played 3-13, went to a Boehlers for some flowers - mom and dad bought a Weigela bush for us. We got some Lenten Rose, coneflowers and some stonecrop called firecracker.  Then more 3-13.  Adam has been whooping everyone on chess - Grandpa came to town.  Adam lost the first game —  then went on to beat Grandpa twice in a row.  More 3-13 - took mom and dad around to see the flood destruction- amazing to see.   More 3-13.  We said goodbye Monday morning - We had a great time - much fun.
