Adam's lego chess set

Did some work out in the yard this morning and worked in the woods. The boys had some school work to do.  Adam and I played chess on his lego chess board.  This afternoon I started staining the deck.  It was really hot.  I took a break and played in the pool with the boys.  Then Jared helped me finish the deck.  We had to work on our pallet planter boxes.  Some of the boards warped and it needed screws because the nails weren't holding.  We fixed them up nicely.  Jacob weed wacked until dinner was ready.  Adam started mowing the lawn but a spring broke on the mower deck.  Jacob's fitbit watch broke and they are sending him a replacement. Our maple tree has a huge split so we needed to take off a large branch.  It was leaning towards the wires so we used the tractor to helped it fall the direction we wanted.  It was dark when we finished cleaning it up.

Indian

This afternoon I went grocery shopping.  It was super busy and I waited in line for a long time.  The boys helped me carry in cold groceries.  Jared and I move some day lillies and replace them with yarrow.  It was so hot outside.  Jacob came out to help and hauled some sand away.  We all went swimming and the boys continued swimming while we went inside to make dinner.  After dinner Jared and I sat on the glider.  Adam is building a chess set out of legos.  We had strawberry shortcake this evening.  Yummy!

It was very hot today. I watered the new plants in the garden several times.  Adam and I played several games of chess.  The boys and I had alot of fun playing in the pool.  Jared had a park meeting after dinner.   This evening we finished planting the garden with the boys help.

6/1/2020

 Eli helped me finish staining the deck.  Adam and I played a couple games of chess.  Adam won both games.  After lunch Adam and Eli went swimming.  Jacob tilled the garden.  Then we watched a Little House.   Jacob and I went to town to get some garden fence and posts.  We needed more for our bigger garden.  The stores were sold out of chicken fence so we got some other fence.  It was 6 foot by 100 ft and we got two rolls.  We had to cut them so they would be 2ft tall.  The boys had fun playing with the chickens in the left over fencing.  We worked on planting the garden until it was too dark and it was raining.

Eli fell asleep during church today and slept for a couple hours.

We stained the deck today.
