Our new Koi fish

It was a rainy day today.  The orioles were busy and gobbled up the jelly.  This afternoon we went to a few different stores to get some Koi fish.  We ended up getting 4 fish.  The boys picked out their favorites.  We ate a late dinner.  Jacob and I played a couple games of Sequence and Jacob won both games.

Adam is counting sleeps until his birthday and even wants to go to sleep quickly at night so it will go by faster.  The little chicks love me to throw them handfuls of grass.  One of our rare breeds we now know is a cream legbar.  Eli has named it Indian because it has feathers growing straight up on the top of her head.  These chickens lay blue to turquois colored eggs.  Adam and I played a couple games of chess.  We each won one.  Jared came home for lunch and we ate on the deck.  After lunch we watched a Little House.  Then we sat on the deck.  It was a beautiful day today.  I worked in the woods digging up clematis vines and other things I wanted out.  Jacob chopped wood.  Eli ran around with Wyatt on the leash.  Adam played with magnetics.  Adam texted Daddy and asked him if he was coming home soon.  Daddy said soon but it depends on the traffic.  Adam decorated the hallway with papers that said car and vroom on them.  At the end he had a stop sign.  Traffic was pretty heavy on the way home from work today. Haha.  Daddy and Adam played chess and they each won a game. We sat on the swing and used my new binoculars.  This evening we went back out to sit on the swing by the fire.  The boys made smore's and Jacob and Eli chopped wood.  I read until it was too dark.  We have one more chapter in Joseph's Dilema.

The boys watched some tv and then I read to them until Eli's 9:30 zoom meeting.  The boys worked on school work and attended their zoom meetings.  Adam and I played a couple games of chess.  Adam hauled the deck wood to old garden and then set it on fire.  Eli and I sat on the glider and then moved to the swing in the woods.  Jacob worked on splitting wood.  The wood was tough with lots of knots so it took many hits.  Jacob said it was fun.  I worked in the woods digging up a bunch things I wanted out.  When Jared finished work he came out and sat on the swing.  We took a walk in the woods.  Jacob made a fire and we sat by it for awhile.  After dinner we came back outside and sat by the fire.  Jacob chopped some more wood.  We made smore's.  Then I read to the boys until it was too dark.  Came inside and read the bible before tucking the boys in bed.

5/11/2020

 The sheep got into the creep feed room by breaking a bolt.  They broke the creeps feeder and ate all the grain.  After lunch Adam had a quick zoom meeting and then we all headed to town to look for some TP and get some spring clamps.  The boys stayed in the van while I ran into the store.  Back at home we watched a Little House.  Eli worked on a paper about what he thinks is a waste of money.  Jared and I worked on putting a new rush seat on his Grandfather's desk chair.  We worked on it until it was time to tuck the boys in bed.  It looks really nice.

Woke up this morning and the boys were watching tv.  We had coffee and banana bread.  The boys and Daddy gave me some sweet homemade Mother's day cards.  I'm am getting a new pair of binoculars for bird watching!!  They should be here on Wednesday.  Our old binoculars are broken.  We caught the 4 ewe's so their lambs can be weaned.  The boys helped us catch them.  The other ewe's we put back in with the lambs again.  We tried to burn some grass but it wasn't burning well so Jared mowed it instead.  We came inside and made pizza's for lunch.  This afternoon we went to Mom's house to celebrate Mother's Day.  We set up our social distance party in her garage because it was raining outside.  Mom and Dad had their heated blankets.  We stayed for a couple hours and had a great time visiting.  Vikki and her family came too.  Mel and her family were here before us.  They came back and Melissa came over to say hi.  We stopped at the store on our way home.  Took a walk in the woods and pulled a bunch of the clematis vine that grows crazy in our woods.  We were able to get alot of young ones out, root and all.  Still alot more to get.  This evening we had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched Dukes of Hazards and A-team. Jacob and I played a couple games of Sequence.  In the first game Jacob dealt me 3 wilds and I soon drew another.  He said it was for Mothers Day.  I won both games.

Eli drew these horses

We watched tv and had our Sat goodies.  Adam mowed the lawn and Jacob tilled the garden. Jacob helped Jared take down the deck railings.  I spent the next few hours painting stripper and power washing the old stain off what was left after the railing was off.  I got really wet and it was so cold and windy outside.  We took a walk in the woods with Eli.  Adam came out to sit on the swing with us.  We then sanded the wood that was power washed.  We watched a Dukes of Hazards and a Little house this evening.  Read to the boys before bed.

It was a cold windy day.  It snowed off and on today.  We are supposed to have several cold nights  so we brought the planters inside.  Jared and I played Sequence.  We started watching Little House on Amazon prime..
