4/18/2020

Adam and Eli slept on our bedroom floor last night.  Adam had a hard time getting to sleep.  The boys woke up early to watch tv.  We had Saturday goodies with donuts and banana bread.  I read a few chapters from Little House.  We set up our new power washer.  The boys had fun with it.  We washed the van and it looks so nice.  Eli was funny to watch with the power washer because it would jerk him back and make us laugh.  We also power washed the back deck.  Adam and Eli played in the sand.  Nana and Papa came over to bring masks and we had a nice visit by the swing.  We stayed apart but took a walk around the house to look at the plants.  Mom also brought a huge pack of donuts for the boys and me some cinnamon.  Jared and I played 9 games of Sequence.  I won 5 and he won 4.  After dinner we went outside.  It was so windy today.  All the boys played in the sand until it got too dark.  Jared and I took a walk in the woods and down the road.  The boys took showers and we read.  We had fun playing with Wyatt and his favorite toy.

Aunt Debbie sent the boys a nice card and some money

I made pancakes for breakfast.  We put choc chips in some of them which Adam really liked.  We finished the forth Little House book and have started reading The Farmer Boy (about Almonzo).  The boys worked on some school work.  Eli helped me make banana bread.  Jared came home from work early.  The boys stayed home and while we went to town.  It was busy.  We ordered a curbside pick up from TSC and got a new power washer.  We went to Meijer for groceries.  They didn't have any syrup or cinnamon.  The lines were long and went slow.  We had round steak, gravy, mashed potatoes, corn and homemade rolls for dinner.  It was good.  Jacob worked on a music project that is due today.  Jared and I played many games of Sequence and he won more than I did.  I read to the boys before bed.

4/16/2020

Adam had a zoom meeting at 9:00 and Eli's meeting started at 9:30.  After Eli's meeting he worked on other school work.  Adam and Jacob also did school work.  Adam had zoom meetings at 10:30 and 2:30.  Jacob had one meeting today at 11:30.  After lunch I read to the boys for a long time.  When Jared was done with work we went outside to take care of the sheep.  Eli came out to help us.  I made chocolate chip cookies for dessert.  We had taco's for dinner.  After dinner the boys did some reading.  Jared and I played Sequence.  He won 3 games and I won 2.  Then I read Little House and we read the Bible.

I took care of the animals this morning and then did my exercises.  The boys woke up around 8:30 and watched some tv.  Eli had a zoom meeting at 9:30.  The boys worked on school work until lunch.  I read to the boys for awhile.  Jacob had zoom meetings at 11:00, 2:00, 3:30 and 4:30.  He really enjoyed his last meeting which was Spanish.  There were only two other students who attended and they had a nice chat with each other.  Eli wrote his daily journal and then worked on his math worksheet.  Adam and Eli practiced their instruments.  Adam walked down the road to get the empty recycling bin.  I made some biscuits and alot were eaten today.  After Jared finished work we took a walk down the road.  The boys played minecraft.  After dinner Jared and I played several games of Sequence.  I read a couple chapters in Little House and the Bible before bed.

4/14/2020

We lost two chick during the night.  I read to the boys until it was time for Eli's Zoom meeting.  This was with his entire 4th grade but only about half of them showed up.  Jacob and Adam worked on school work. After Eli's meeting he did the rest of his school work.  I made some dough in the bread machine and when it was ready I baked a couple small loafs in the oven.  We had some with our dinner tonight and it was very yummy.  I read again to the boys while they ate lunch.  We made egg salad sandwiches for lunch.  Jacob had a zoom meeting at 1:00 and Adam had a meeting at 2:00. We watched a National Geographic's.    The boys practiced instruments.  After dinner Adam went outside to play in the sand.  Jared and I played many games of Sequence.  Jared won the majority of the games played.  I read a couple more chapters in Little House and then we read the Bible.

Haircuts for the boys

Eli had his first zoom meeting this morning.  He enjoyed meeting with his teachers and class.  I gave the boys haircuts today. It was a windy day.  We went to school to pick up a packet for Eli.  Then we went to some grocery stores looking for yeast. The boys helped us separate some of the ewe's from their lambs and we put them in the old ram paddock.  There are still a few ewe's who's lambs aren't old enough to be weaned.  When we went out to check on them before bed we found that several lamb's had escaped and were loose by the fence near their mom's.  They were baaing loudly.

4/12/2020

Jared hid the eggs last night.  We let Eli have a 2 min start on searching for eggs.  He found six eggs but only found 1 more before the boys filled up both their dozen cartons.  Daddy started doing hot/cold for the last few eggs.  The last egg to find was Eli's tiny egg.  It was hidden inside the pile of magnetic balls that was on the floor.  The boys had alot of fun.  Then they searched for Easter baskets starting with Jacob.  It took Jacob a long time to find his which was hidden behind the closed curtain in his bedroom.  We watched our church service which was great!!  We had banana bread for breakfast.  I got some dough going in the bread machine and made an apple pie. I called to talk to Nana.  We opened our Easter surprise from Nana and Papa and we each got $20 - wow!!  Thank you Nana and Papa!! We spent some time outside.  It was a beautiful day today.  Around 1:30 we ate.  We had chicken, ham, mashed potatoes, corn, and rolls.  It was yummy!!  Eli loved the chicken and ate all of it minus a couple small pieces.  He loves chicken made in the air fryer.  We called to talk to Grandma and Grandpa.  We worked in the ditch cleaning out the sticks and leaves to help the water flow better.  It was so hard walking because your boots sank into the clay making it hard to move.  The water is flowing great.  We facetimed Nana and Papa.  Then we had popcorn pop and ice cream and watched Star wars.
