Ready for an Easter egg hunt

After church we went grocery shopping.  This afternoon we went to my parents house to celebrate Easter.  We got there early so we could work on cleaning up the trees that had fallen down on Friday.  We finished just before my parents and sisters arrived.  Kenzie and Travis came too.  Kenzie let each of the boys pick out a glass pendant that she made.  The kids had lots of fun collection eggs for the Easter egg hunt.  Then they took turns finding Easter baskets.  Nana and Papa treated us to pizza and breadsticks for dinner.  The kids had fun playing in the basement and playing outside on the trampoline. It was a great day celebrating with family.

The boys were watching Transformers when we woke up this morning.  Daddy went into town to get our Sat morning goodies. Around 11:00 we headed into town for soccer games.  Adam's game started at 12:00 and Eli's game was at 12:30.  I really don't like when their games overlap but at least their fields were right next to each other.  Adam's team won their game 3-0 and Eli's team ended in a tie.  Eli was goalie for the first half of the game.  After lunch Jared and I worked on putting up a screen door.  My parent gave us their old door it we love it.  Nik came over and the boys spent hours playing in the pond.  Jared and I sheared sheep.  We had 3 suffolk, Francis and Han to shear.   We have also separated the ewes and their lambs for weaning.  We had grilled cheese and cheetos for dinner.  We always remind the boys that Mommy and Daddy used to eat grilled cheese, cheetos and play x-box games when we were dating.

It was a super windy day today.  When I came home the wind had knocked down a dead tree that we really liked.  We kept a huge part of the tree and cut up the rest.  It also knocked over our wooden swing and the basketball hoop.  The wind did a lot of damage to our screen door.  Nik came over this evening and the boys had fun playing with some carbon copy paper that Daddy had brought home from work.  Then they spent a couple hours playing in the pond.  Eli only stayed in about 30 minutes and then played in the bathtub for over an hour and a half.  We made pizza's for dinner and the boys ate late.  We built a fire and sat on the swing.

This evening Adam had soccer practice.  Jacob and I headed to the Dow high school for band practice.  I went to Goodwill and the pet store.

5th grade D.A.R.E. graduation.  

Jacob played his clarinet on the drive to school this morning.  He played star wars, batman and some jazz.  I had less than an hour at home after work before heading back to school for Adam's D.A.R.E. graduation.  Jared met me at the school.  Eli was on recess so we got to say hi to him before heading in.  After the graduation we got to take Adam home with us.  He went home with Daddy and I stayed to pick up Eli.  He and I went to McDonalds while we waited for Jacob to get done with Jazz band.  We went back to McDonalds to get Jacob a shake before heading home. At home Adam drew plans for the house he wants to build when he's older.  He plans on buying Gene's property next to ours.   Nik came over and the boys played in the sand.  Eli and Daddy headed to soccer practice.  Adam and I kicked the soccer ball around.  Adam decided to go for a swim in the pond.  Soon Nik and Jacob joined him in the water.  Eli also joined them when he got home from practice.  I relaxed on the swing and took a walk in the woods. Our bloodroot is blooming and the Solomon's seal is coming up.  The boys were ready for a warm shower and hot chocolate when they came in.

After school I took the boys into town and met Jared at the barber to get Jacob's hair cut.  Nik came over and the boys played in the sand.
