Daisy had a girl lamb!

And Ewe #47 had boy/girl twins!

Eva's lambs

Fryne's lamb climbs into the hay feeder

I came home from work and hurried to the barn to check on the sheep.  I found that Daisy and Ewe #47 had just lambed.  Daisy had a single girl and the suffolk had boy/girl twins.  I got them into stalls and helped dry the lambs and got them taken care of.  I stripped the mom's and tubbed the lambs.  Got them some water with molasses and some hay.  After they were all taken care of I went inside for a little while.  When I came out both mom's had delivered their placenta's.  The new lambs were all nursing good.  Grandpa was crying so I went in and he was pushing on my leg for his bottle.  He ate quickly and is doing good.  Wilma's lamb has gained about a pound since we let her out of the corner yesterday so she's doing good.  Nik came over after school and the boys played in the snow.  Eli came in and built a little blanket tent.  He did his reading in his tent with a flashlight.  This evening Eli was writing us lots of cute notes.  He made a mailbox using a lunch bag and we sent notes back to him.  Eli and I played stratego and I won.  Then Adam and I played and Adam won.  Daddy and Adam played risk.  Jacob is re reading one of his library books.  Adam and Daddy played minecraft.  Then Jacob and Eli played on the computer.

Adam crawled into our bed after Daddy left for work.  The boys watched How to Train your Dragons and Angry birds.  Jacob spent a lot of the day reading.  Grandpa has diarrhea again and is dehydrated.  This afternoon I went to town to shop for Daddy's birthday present.  I also got some valentines for the boys.  Back at home I let Blanch and her baby out and cleaned their stall.  Wilma is out of the corner so we will be keeping an eye on her lamb's weight to make sure she is nursing her.  Grandpa downed a bottle with electrolytes.  Adam and Eli had fun playing in the snow.  Jacob and I finished a game of 3-13.  Adam and Daddy played Risk.  Then Jacob and I played Stratego.

It was really snowing a lot when we went out to bottle feed Grandpa this morning.  It continued snowing until this afternoon.  After church we got groceries and pizza for lunch.  Nik came over after lunch and they had fun playing in the snow for a couple hours.  Jared plowed the driveway and made a huge hill for the boys to play on. Inside Eli took a bath and I read a few more chapters in his book. Wilma still isn't nursing her lamb unless she's in the corner stand and no placenta form Blanch.  We tagged and banded the lambs this afternoon and Eli came in to help.  He was really cold so I gave him my mittens and hat.  We let Eva and her lambs out of the stall and they are doing great.  Nik came back to play in the snow.  This evening we watched When Call's the Heart and had popcorn pop and ice cream.  We got a call saying school is canceled for tomorrow - yay!  Jacob and I started a game of 3-13.

We watched Loonie Tunes this morning and Adam and Daddy headed into town for Saturday goodies.  Jacob stayed in his bed reading until almost 10:00.  Daddy and Adam started another game of risk.  Eli and I played chess.  After lunch Nik came over to play for an hour.  We went into town to drop off a package at the post office and went to the library.  Then we went to home depot and meijer.  At home we checked on the sheep and Wilma still isn't letting her lamb nurse unless she's in the head stall.  We are concerned about Blanch because we haven't seen her placenta but she may have eaten it.  We are bottle feeding Grandpa and he is finally gaining weight but still has some diarrhea.  We tagged and banded Eva's lambs.  Her boy lamb has entropian in both eyes so we injected 1 ml of penicillin under his eyelids. Nik came back over until dinnertime. This evening we watched When Calls the Heart.  Eli wanted me to read a book while he took a bath and we started one of his library books called Alphie.

Eva and her lambs

Wilma and her lamb

Oscar

Blanch and her lamb

I went in worked breakfast this morning and then switched to Tammy's shift because she couldn't make it in today.  After work I went in the barn to check on the sheep.  Blanch had just lambed a big boy, weighing 15.6!  I moved them into a stall and towel dried him.  Blanch is doing great with him.  Wilma still won't let her lamb nurse so she is stuck in the corner.  Eva is doing so great with her lambs.  Fryne really wants out of the stall but Grandpa is losing weight and we are bottle feeding him.  He weighs 9 lbs and his brother is over 15lbs.  His brother is spunky but Grandpa just wants to lay in the corner.  Nik came over after school.  After dinner Jacob and I finished a game of 3-13 and I finally won by 3 points!  Adam and Daddy played a game of risk and Eli and I played Stratego.  This evening we watched Looney Tunes before bed.

100 year old Eli!

Adam in the next stall while we worked on the new lamb

Eli went to school today dressed as a 100 year old man to celebrate the 100th day of school.  He was pretending to put in his false teeth.  He took a cane with him but let another kid use it all day because he'd forgot to dress up.  After work today I worked on changing the living room around a little and did some cleaning.  Eva and her lambs are doing great.  I've seen the little girl a couple times nursing while her and Eva were laying down.  Grandpa isn't gaining weight and is down to 9.3 so we are supplementing him with a bottle.  The boys went over to Nik's for an hour to play with army men.  Adam and Eli played outside until dinner was ready.  Just after 7pm we went out with Adam to check on the ewes and Wilma had just lambed.  We put her in a stall with her lamb and towel dried it.  Its a black girl weighing 12#.  Wilma was licking her a lot but refused to let her nurse.  We ended up having to put her in the corner head stall.
