Learning to pick and card wool

Checking the hives

Time for smores

Grandma is learning how to spin wool

This morning we taught Grandma and Grandpa how to pick and card wool.  Then Eli and I went to town to get bagels, donuts and drinks.  Adam had a soccer game at around 11:00.  It was cold and windy on the field.  Nana and Papa also came to watch him play.  Back at home and we made sandwiches for lunch.  Then we worked on planting plants from IN.   They brought plants for around our house and for in the woods.  The boys played on the deck and built some huge blanket tents out there.  This evening we sat by the fire in the woods and made smores.  After the boys were in bed we gave Grandma some lessons on using the spinning wheel.

Grandma and Grandpa are here!

Opening gifts from Grandma and Grandpa

Sheep from Grandma

The boys had lots of fun playing on Nana and Papa's trampoline this morning.  Then Jacob and Adam went with Papa for a ride in his truck.  They went to a store and to Tim Hortons while Vikki, Nana, the kids and I headed to a nearby park.  The kids played for awhile and then we hiked the trails.  We took some umbrella's as it looked like rain but didn't need to use them.  Mel dropped Max, Hailey, and Jack off at Nana's to play while she took Evan to an appointment.  We headed home around 5pm.  Jared called to say he had run out of gas with his scooter.  We stopped at the store for a gallon gas container and then headed to the gas station.  The boys got hot chocolates to drink on this chilly day.  We found Jared and he fill up his tank.  This evening Grandma and Grandpa arrived from IN.  The boys showed off their chickens and we walked around the farm.  We also took a walk in the woods.  Grandma had the back of their van filled with potted plants - YAY!  We helped unload them and put them in the shade.  Grandma and Grandpa gave the boys a suet feeder and a hook for the feeder that mounts to the deck! They also gave us several different kinds of suet.

I worked on cleaning the house this morning.  Mom was going to come over and help me but I got it done before she got there.  I made egg salad sandwiches for lunch and also made smoothies.  We sat on the deck and drank coffees while visiting.  Mom and I both have poison ivy from when we cleared her woods.  Dad, Jared and Eli also have it.  Eli's spots don't seem to be bothering him too much.  Mom and I enjoyed taking a couple walks in the woods.  Eli came with us and showed Nana their fort.  Jacob worked on taking apart a laptop computer from Uncle Rody.  Adam played with legos.  Nik and Carley came over to play for an hour.  Mom and I picked the rhubarb and cut it up to freeze.  Thanks you Mom!  Jared picked up the mowed grass with the lawn sweeper and I put it on the garden.  This evening I went to the store to get some groceries.

Today was Eli's last day of preschool and end of year program.

Eli got the snickers award for his sense of humor.

Aunt Bippi gave Jacob a MP3 player to listen to music on.  He's super excited!

Adam has been taking Mirlax for awhile and the encopresis doesn't seem to be getting better.  He complains that his belly hurts a lot and is still having accidents.  We took a walk on the rail trail today and he had an accident (diarrhea) while we were a long ways from the van.  He was so embarrassed and I felt really bad for him.  We scheduled an appointment with the doctor.  The next two days he has to take a Magnesium Citrate drink and then they increased his Miralax to twice a day.  Adam crawled under the chairs and was crying at the doctors.  Please keep him in your prayers.

Taking these two in for the night.

The boys love their new micro lanterns and bike lights.  Thank you Aunt Bippi and Uncle Rody!

Using the new blanket.  Jacob thinks its way too itchy!

Eli held Jacob's hand as we walked him into school.  From there we headed to the rail trail to do some bike riding.  We parked in Sanford and headed towards the tridge.  I put some crackers in my backpack and brought some water.  We made a few quick stops on the way and the boys would have a few crackers and a drink.  Adam usually rode ahead of us and Jacob wanted to stay with me. We stopped at Emerson park to play.  I played store/restaurant with the boys.  As we started on our trip back towards the van Adam turned his bike sharp and fell hard on his knee.  It was bleeding bad and I didn't have any bandaids.  I did have some spare underwear and we wrapped Adam's knee with it.  He stopped at several benches on the way to rest and check his knee.  We rode a total of 15 miles.  It was such a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun!  Took the boys to McDonalds for ice cream before heading home.

Adam and Daddy planned on making smores this evening.  Adam was so excited about the surprise that he waited for Daddy at the end of our road.  After dinner we headed outside to sit by the fire.  It was cool out this evening but felt nice by the fire.  Daddy and the boys enjoyed some smores.  The boys made a fort in the shrubs by the ditch.
