Adam slept in again until almost 9:30.  After everyone had eaten breakfast we took a walk around the campground. The boys rode their scooters.  Around 11:00 we headed out to Estivant Pines to hike the trails with Grandma and Grandpa. It's such a beautiful hike.  We went back to camp from there for lunch. Then we went to see Dennis and Leslie. We took the boys over to play at the school playground for awhile.  Then we came back to watch Dennis raku firing. He fired the boys painted stars and they turned out nice. We got back to camp around 6pm. Eli fell asleep on the short trip there and continued sleeping in the van. Jacob chopped wood with the hatchet and started the fire by himself.  He said, "Wow I must be 8 years old!" After dinner Grandma and Jacob took a walk over to the fort buildings. Jacob said it was really FUN! Adam and I took a bike ride around camp and to the camp playground. Lake Fanny Hooe was so pretty this evening. Daddy taught Jacob how to skip rocks.  We sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa and made smores. We were in bed around 9:30.

By the fire they built.

We were up around 7am but Adam slept in until 9:30.  It was really foggy on Lake Fanny Hooe this morning. Jacob and I took a bike ride. Then Eli rode his bike while I walked around the campground. We took a hike on the path by Pebble beach with Grandma. We hike the trails from there to the East campground. Stopped at the playground for awhile. Daddy surprised the boys with push up. We got back to our campsite around lunchtime. The boys played with toys around the firepit.  We drove to Calumet to get gas. On our drive back we stopped at the jampot for goodies. The boys got chocolate muffins today (usually they get ginger snap cookies).  We stopped to see Leslie at the shop. Grandma and Grandpa were there too.  Eli slept for awhile in the van. Leslie got out her tools and let the boys make some more things with clay.  She also had star disks for them to raku paint. They really enjoyed making things and painting! After dinner Jacob chopped some wood. He built the fire and started it. Adam also helped chop some wood and helped add logs to the fire. Adam wanted to go somewhere with Grandma all by himself. They took a walk over to the Fort and played in the building over there for awhile. He really enjoyed his time with Grandma!  We sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa and made smores. Jacob worked on carving a stick with his knife.

Day 12

Back at Eagle River

The boys was so cole but they didn't mind.

Making footprints

So goofy!

It was raining this morning when we woke up. Eli slept in until 9am so Grandma saved some pancakes for him. Grandma and Eli were pretending that the pancake bites were different kinds of fish. When Grandma stopped Eli said, "Play with me Grandma!"  Adam and Daddy took a scooter ride this morning. Then Eli, Adam and I went for a ride. We rode our scooters through a large puddle. Jacob and Adam took their scooters back to ride in the puddle.  The boys wanted to go back to Eagle river so we headed there after lunch. The temp was around 66 degrees but it felt much cooler than yesterday.  The boys didn't seem to mind it though.  We spent a couple hour there.  Adam built many sand castles around the water. The boys played again on the drift wood. Eli was busy digging with his shovel. Jacob built a sand castle with water around it. Jared worked hard to stop the water from going into the lake.  On our way home we stopped to visit with Leslie. Grandma and Grandpa were there too. Eli fell asleep on the drive and slept in the van. The boys and Daddy walked up to the store for some pops.  Eli cried cause he didn't get to say hi so we took him out to see Leslie.  Then I took him in the store to pick out a pop. We got back around 4pm.  The boys threw the frisbee with Daddy. Then they drew on the road with chalk. After dinner we took a walk around the campground. We sat by the fire and made smores. Grandma and Grandpa  and Dennis and Marsha came over too.  We were in bed after 10pm.
