Peyton

Isaac

Kenzie spent the night here last night. Eli called “Kenzie” as he looked around the house for her. We made pancakes for breakfast. Kenzie made Jacob a letter J pancake and a turtle pancake for Adam. We went out for our Sat drinks and donuts and also went to Salvation army. It was close to lunchtime when we got home. Jared worked some on the yard. Today was Jacob's first soccer game and we had fun watching him play. We then headed to Vikki's house. Mel meet us there and we rode with Vikki, Rody, and Kenzie to the hospital. Jared stayed at Vikki's with the boys since he can't go in NICU with poison ivy. Kenzie went in first to meet her brother and sister while Mel and I waited in the waiting room. Kenzie came out and showed us with her hands how tiny they are. Then we scrubbed up for 3 minutes before going in to meet them. They are so tiny and beautiful! Peyton was moving and kicking around. She had to get poked:( Isaac was quiet. We got back to Vikki’s house around 7pm. Rody ordered pizza for dinner. We took Mel to her house on our way home.

9-8-11

I woke Jacob up around 7am. Adam and Eli continued sleeping until I woke them just before leaving. I got to rock Jacob for a few minutes before breakfast. He said he really likes school but misses me while he’s there. At home I called Vikki  to see how she and the babies were doing. After breakfast Adam, Eli, and I played with duplo legos. We built a house and a boat. Eli likes to climb on my back when I lay on the floor and build. He said “gen (again)” and also was saying, “dop (stop)” when the dogs would go after his snack. Adam made some tools for us to use to take apart the house we’d built. Today is my parents 38 wedding anniversary. After lunch I tucked Eli in for a nap. When he finishes eating he usually says, “dal done.” Adam and I went outside to play in the sandbox. We also went up in the Fort and Norman followed us up again.  Back inside we played more with the Duplo legos. We worked on building another house. After school the boys watched Shuan the sheep. This evening Jacob had soccer practice. Eli kept stealing one of the coach’s extra balls. Adam and I played catch with his ball. Eli’s thumb nail fell off while we were there so I put a bandaid on it. We stayed after practice to kick the ball around for a little while.

I was talking to Jared on the phone when he asked me what time Eli’s appointment was today. I was off a day, thinking the appointment was tomorrow. Then I realized we were supposed to be there in 25 minutes. We rushed out the door and headed to the appointment. Jared met us there. Eli weighed 24 lbs 5.4 oz and his exam went well. From there we headed to McDonalds for lunch and Jared went back to work. Then we went up to the hospital to visit with Vikki. Jared got Jacob off the bus today. He was really excited that there is going to be show and tell at his school and knew exactly what he wanted to bring – his agate. Jared has bad poison ivy, even on his eyelid:(

Isaac 3.0 lbs          &    Peyton 2 lbs 14 oz
I was up around 6:30am and talked to Vikki on the phone. She said they were going to finally let her eat something. Around 7:00 I woke Jacob up to get ready for school. Adam woke up too and lay on the couch. Jacob complained of being "freezing cold" as he ate breakfast. He went to get his slippers and those helped him warmed up. Jacob got to talk to Daddy just before it was time to leave. On the drive to school Jacob counted Recycling bins. Today was a busy morning at the school. On the walk to Jacob’s class he said, “Mommy, I’m a little scared.” After giving his teacher some things he hung up his backpack and took a seat. Eli held Adam's hand as we walked back to the van. He was calling “Jaa Jaa (Jacob)” on the drive home. After breakfast I worked on finishing a hat I'm knitting for Peyton. We watched Big Big Friend. Around 10:30 I tucked Eli in for a nap. Adam and I played Candy Land and house. We went outside until lunchtime. Norman climbed up in the fort with us and also followed us down the slide. After lunch the boys and I played hide and seek. For awhile the boys would seek or hide on me. When they both wanted to be with me we started hiding on Truman. Shortly after 3:00 we went down to the end of our road to wait for Jacob's bus. Jacob had a good first day of school and was most excited about the big playground they get to play on. He called Daddy to tell him about his day too. Around 4:00 I tucked Eli in for a nap. The boys watched Big Big Friend. Vikki called to say they were probably going to do her c-section today. When Jared got home from work I headed to the hospital. They said we could see the babies before they took them up to NICU. We got to see Isaac but not Peyton. Peyton weighed 2 lbs 14 oz and Isaac weighed 3.0 lbs. Both babies were listed as no active problems!
