Jacob's 7th birthday!!! (5-26-12)

Jacob asked me to put handles on his cape, so I added them to all three.
Go stand over there Daddy
I woke up to the birthday boy wiggling and excited as he cuddled by me in bed . He said, I know I have to wait until Adam wakes up cause I don't want him to miss me opening my presents. Soon Eli and Adam were both awake. Jacob loved seeing all the decorations and his cake. The boys got dressed and then Jacob sat down, ready to open his gifts. Adam got him some glitter pens and Eli gave him a little boat for the pool. Next he opened some gum, a nerf football, a foam plane and a remote control truck. We put batteries in the rc truck and took it outside to drive around. He drove it in the driveway, grass, and the garden. Jacob let us all try it too and it was really fun! We came inside so Daddy and Jacob could put together the airplane. Then we went back outside to try that but it didn't work so great and the wing broke on the first throw. Jacob brought out his truck to drive around some more. Nana and Papa called and Jacob told them about his truck and let them hear it. Around 9am we headed into town to get donuts. Jacob unbuckled to tell the lady at Tim hortons that he turned 7 today. Back at home Jacob took his rc truck outside to drive around for awhile. Aunt Bippi and Uncle Rody's called to talk to Jacob. Daddy and the boys had fun playing with the nerf balls. The boys were hiding their balls on Daddy. Eli sure wants to sit on the potty a lot lately. But when he has to go potty he get up and goes on the floor. Then he says, "I peed!" Grandma called and talked to the birthday boy. At around 12:30 we headed to Sandford beach. The weather was cool, around 70 degrees and cloudy. We first sat down to eat lunch at a picnic table. Then we headed to the beach to swim. The boys had so much fun playing in the water and the sand. Eli would only go in the water if I was holding his hand. He really likes playing in the sand with the shovels and buckets. Adam and Jacob had a great time playing in the water with their little boats. They kept teasing us and saying they saw things like sting rays and lobsters in the water. The boys were surprised to see Nana and ran to greet her. Jacob said,  "look Nana, look at what I found on the bottom of the sea." It sprinkled a little while we are there and Daddy reminded the boys to try not  to get wet. We also took the boys to play at the splash park and they had a great time there. Eli liked getting drinks from the fountain. We spent about 4 hrs at the beach. We stopped at McDonald's for ice cream cones on our way to the store.  Adam decided he wanted to take back his space shuttle and get a rc truck, like Jacob's. He also got a small lego police set. We also took back Jacob's foam airplane and he picked out a lego technic set. We stopped on the way home for pizza and breadsticks. After eating dinner we went outside to play with the rc trucks. The boys raced their trucks in the yard and in the driveway. Mommy and Daddy had fun racing them too. Back inside we had cake/ice cream and sang happy birthday to Jacob. He wanted the cake with a 7 on it. We watched George of the jungle and put together lego sets. After tucking in the boys I rocked Jacob and we looked at his baby pictures.
