7/1/23

Eli and Isaac were watching tv when we woke up.  We stopped for donuts and drinks on our way to Standish.  Mom made yummy potatoes and hot dogs for lunch.  Eli went on a long bike ride around the campground.  There was a golf cart parade.  A boy was driving one of them with a couple little boys and it broke down in front of our site.  The little boys were crying and the other boy seemed frustrated.  The battery was smoking.  Jared and Adam helped push them back to their site.  There was a craft sale going on and Mom got us some cute dishcloths that hang on the faucet.  We left around 3:00 to be home by 4:00.  Jacob's clarinet friends were coming over to borrow our shirt paint.  They are decorating shirts for band camp.  Nik's graduation party is today.  It's just down the road from us at his Grandpa's house.  The boys haven't seen Nik in 2 year so they were very happy to get to see him.  They hugged and talked for a couple hours until we had to leave.  Poor Nik chipped a tooth while we were standing there visiting.  We left around 7:30 to go back to the campground for tonights firework display.  We set up chairs by the pond.  Lucy stepped on a fishing line with a hook and it stuck in her pad.  I used pliers from the van to pull it out.  Ouch!  We wrapped her paw. The fireworks got delayed because of a storm.  There was lots of lightening.  Bruce left to take Max and his dog home.  We hung out in Nana and Papa's camper for awhile.  The fireworks started late but they were very good.  We took Melissa and her kids to meet Bruce in Freeland so he wouldn't have to drive so far. 

6/30/23

 We headed to Nana's campground around noon.  It was a warm day today.  After lunch we went swimming at the indoor pool.  The outdoor pool had too many people in it.  We sure had alot of fun in the pool and got cooled off.  Nana was taking Kody to meet his mom so she joined us in the pool when she got back.  Adam brought his metal earth kit to work on.  He and Jacob are spending the night.  We took a walk around the campground.  Kenzie is also spending the night.  We got ice cream cones at the store.  Eli said he rode 50 miles on his bike today!  Isaac came home to spend the night with us.  We played some bedwars after eating a late dinner.  

6/29/23

It rained hard this morning.  Adam had an eye dr appointment and picked out new glasses.  Jacob and Eli worked with their sheep.  The sheep were much easier to walk around today.  They sure pick up on leading quickly.  After lunch Eli and I headed to the campground.  Eli played some good music on the drive.  We brought the fishing poles so the kids could go fishing.  Walked over to check out the new store which is really nice.  We played candy bar bingo.  The new lady running it was overly fair.  She made sure everyone won one candy bar which is what you bring to play.  It was an interesting game.  The kids went fishing again after the game.  Then they went for a swim.  We went to McDonalds for dinner. It rained on our drive home.  Jacob was gone to the Eddy band practice.  Jared and I dug up small zinnia plants and replanted them.  Jacob drove home from his practice in the pouring rain.  Adam taught me how to play a computer game, Stormworks. 

6/28/23

Adam had a therapy appointment at 8:15.  From there we went to Dunhams and he picked out a new pair of shoes. We also stopped at Meijer.  Jacob and Eli worked with their 4H sheep.  Eli's sheep falls down alot.  We took them for a walk around the house.  Jacob, Eli and I had appointments with the eye dr starting at 1:00.  Eli needs glasses so we picked out a pair.  While I was having my exam Jacob and Eli walked to Meijer to get pops.  Jacob and I had to order more contacts.  When we got home I worked in the flower beds. Then I sat on the deck and talked to Vikki on the phone.  Jared came home joined me on the deck.  After dinner we took Adam to his soccer practice.  Jared and I got ice cream cones.  Then we went to Saginaw to get Jared a new computer.  They had just got a couple computers delivered on the truck.  When we got home Eli took me to the barn to show me what he had been working on.  He cleaned out his tack room really good and also took care of Bo.  

6/27/23

We slept in this morning.  The air quality is poor because of the fires in Canada so there is a haze in the distance. Eli and I went shoe shopping.  I also took in my reciept to Kohls because the mixer we bought a week ago is on sale.  They adjusted the price an we saved $75!  Eli tried on a bunch of shoes but didn't find anything he liked in his size. We went to Dunhams and he found a pair right away.  He likes them alot.   This evening Jacob went to his Eddy band practice at SVSU. Jared mowed the lawn.
