Day 4 (7/22/19)

We were up with the boys around 6:30. Grandma made pancakes for breakfast. After breakfast the boys took a ride around the campground looking for wood. Jacob found a long log that was too big for him to carry. Adam had an idea of using two scooters to haul the long log. He and Daddy tried it and it worked pretty good.  We took our morning walk and then headed Calumet with Adam's bike.  The bike shop had the new rim in stock. Yay!  We also picked up a new helmet for Eli.  When Jared put the wheel on the gears all broke apart. Jared took the bike back into the shop to get the gears fixed. We took a walk to the store where the boys could pick out some salt water taffy.   They had fun picking out different flavors.  From there we headed to Great Sand bay. The waves were big and the boys had fun playing in them even though it was only 66 degrees. Eli got cold and didn't playing in the water long. He played on the sand hill. Afterwards we headed to the jampot but they were closed. We got a call from the bike shop saying they were finished so we headed back to Calumet. While we were riding in the van I read to the boys. We have been reading the first book in a trilogy belonging to Jacob.  The first book is called Watchers: Guardians of Freelandia.  We got back to camp around 3:00. Jacob and Adam took a bike ride to the store and bought pops. We relaxed at our site for awhile. Then we took a walk around the campground with the boys riding bikes. After dinner we took another walk around the campground and then headed over to Pebble beach with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma found an awesome piece of drift wood that we are going to bring home. We found a chickadee nest with baby birds in it. While we sat by the fire Eli chopped wood with the axe. Jacob chopped some wood too. Adam was in his hammock with Wyatt.  We made smore's.  It started to sprinkle so we put everything away and got ready for bed. Got to bed around 10:15
