Jared woke the boys and said Adam got up really quickly. We were heading North around 2:30am for our annual trip to Copper Harbor. Jacob and Adam were really excited too and often asked “How much longer til we get to the Mackinaw Bridge?” The different colored lights on the bridge looked so pretty. After eating pop tarts the boys fell asleep and slept for the next couple hours. We stopped at a gas station in Munsing for a potty break and a stretch. There we saw my Uncle Dave and chated with him for a few minutes. We got to Lance around 10:00 and stopped at the Hilltop restaurant. We got a couple huge cinnamon rolls and some chocolate milk. Eli didn’t want to eat any of the roll but liked his milk. The boys were impressed with the huge mounted fish displayed in the restaurant. Our next stop was at the stone boat in Kearsarge. The boys really enjoyed playing there and could have stayed there for much longer. But we were ready to get to camp and get set up. We went thru the “tunnels” around noon. The boys loved all the hills. Eli fell asleep and continued sleeping as we set up camp. Grandma and Grandpa arrived and came by for a visit. Eric and his family also had arrived and were setting up at their campsite. Grandma and the boys walked down to their site and came back with Andrew and Noah. They played around the firepit with the toys. Adam was so tired and just sat around trying to stay awake. We took a walk (boys rode bikes) around the campground. For a quick dinner we just made sandwiches. Then we took a walk over to “Pebble beach” where the boys had fun throwing rocks in the water. Back at camp we got the boys in their pj’s and took another walk. We were all in bed around 8:30.
