Waiting for the Battery D to fire the canon
We walked over to the Fort this morning to watch Battery D fire the canon. After breakfast we took a walk around camp and then over to Pebble Beach. Grandpa was there at the beach too. We walked on the rock along Lake Superior. Then we hiked the trails on our way to the Fort store. Daddy surprised the boys with orange push-ups. Jacob’s foot was bothering him (from stepping on the sharp rock) so he rode on Daddy’s shoulders back to our site. After lunch we headed into town to see Dennis and Leslie. Jacob’s foot was still hurting so he sat in the van for a little while. The boys got to watch Dennis throwing pots. Back at camp we did some packing. The boys and Daddy went on a bike ride to get ice. Adam rode in the child seat on my bike with Daddy. Eli napped until we woke him around 4:30 All three boys napped on the drive to The Hut. Grandma, Grandpa, Eric and his family met us there. We were celebrating Grandma and Grandpa’s wedding anniversary and they bought our meal (Thank you!). The food there was very good and we all had a nice visit. Then we headed to the Berry Patch for ice cream cones. This evening we watched Battery D fire the canons. We made smores and were in bed around 10:30.
