Checking out the Junebug

The boys and I had such a fun day today. First we went to Touch a Truck Day at the library. The boys got hardhats and sat on lots of trucks and tractors. Jacob wanted to sit in the garbage truck first. Adam was acting shy at first so he didn't get to sit it that. Next we sat in the water truck. It had a large back seat so I went up in it with the boys. Adam followed us up and thought it was really cool. Jacob was facinated with the roll down windows. After that we walked through the squad truck. The boys tried on the heavy helmet. Jacob talked to the policeman and asked a couple questions. The boys made their way to the front and sat in the driver/passenger seat. They loved honking the horns on all the trucks. Jacob saw several of his school friends and gave them hugs. The boys liked staying to watch all the trucks take off. We ate a packed lunch. Then we headed to the post office, dollar store and to McDonalds for Hot fudge sundaes. We went back to the library for Move and Groove. Jacob and Adam were all over the room dancing and having fun. Eli was dancing too. Adam said, "I love Move and Groove!" The boys then played at the train table. Jacob made a new friend. We stopped at Goodwill and the boys picked out a couple matchbox cars to buy. Jacob was so excited about his cars and showed them to some ladies in the store. We stopped at Walmart and the boys wore their hardhats in there. A couple ladies commented to the boys that they liked their hats which got the boys excited to tell them all about Touch a Truck Day at the library. At home I tucked Eli in for a nap. The boys played with their cars on the car mat. Eli woke up just after we finished dinner. After he finished eating we went outside. Eli is fast at climbing up the ladder to the fort. He went down the slide with Adam. Jacob caught a junebug and Eli liked seeing it.

Touch a truck day is awesome. What fun. Eli with his yellow matching hat is just precious. And...I was LOTS of rain on the radar for you. The picture proves it. Adam manages to look dirtier than Jacob. Eli is learning about water and how he can make it move around. Pictures are only getting better. We're out of here soon. Last night was a hot one for sure. Uck, and double uck.

Touch a Truck Day looks like so much fun. Do they do that at your library every year? My boys sure love looking at the pictures. Even Hailey thought they were pretty neat.
