After breakfast we took our morning walk (bike ride) around camp. Today was the day of the Triatholon. We got out the sidewalk chalk and had fun decorating the road with it. Grandma and Marsha also helped. I helped the boys make roads and train tracks. We traced Jacob and Adam’s bodies on the road and Eli wanted to be traced too. Then Jared and I traced each other. We went for another walk before eating lunch. Adam saw a bee and as he backed away from it he fell into the firepit. Around 1:00 we headed to the Great Sand Bay. We were on really low fuel so, since the all three boys had fell asleep, we kept driving to Calumet for gas. They continued sleeping until we woke them when we got back to the Great Sand Bay. It was a beautiful day outside, low 70’s. We all had such a fun time. Eli found a little rock that he pick up and threw into the water over and over. Jacob worked on rebuilding a sand castle that someone else had built. Jacob and Adam ran down the big sand hill several times. The water in the stream was so cold that Lake Superior felt warm. Norman got to go for a swim too. We got back to camp around 5pm and Jared started a fire for our foil dinners. Andrew and Noah came over to play. After dinner we took a walk (boys on scooter). Grandma joined us on our walk. Adam wiped out a couple times. Grandma and Grandpa came over and we made smores. Adam was standing up in his bed and fell back onto the floor.
