Today Jared and Adam went to get our Saturday goodies. They stopped to take care of the sheep on the way. After they got home Jared and I went out to walk the fence and see which post need to be replaced. We chopped up a large maple tree that had fallen down. Then we stacked it in a pile in our woods. We also replaced some fence post. I sprayed a lot of poison ivy and Jared loppered a lot of shrubs growing up by the fence. After lunch we started shearing sheep. We sheared Blanch, Eva, Wilma, and Oscar. We also trimmed the back ends of Della, Fryne, and Daisy. Their wool is not quite long enough to shear. We vaccinated, wormed and trimmed hooves on the Romney's. Jacob helped me get the Suffolk and the lambs into a new paddock. We put the ram in with the 6 Romney ewe's. Nik came over for a few hours and then the boys went to his house for a couple hours. It was about 8:30 when we finished and went inside. The boys had fun playing in the sand in the rams paddock.
