Poor guy was stung by hornets

Grandma has made pancakes for breakfast every morning. This morning she decided to make scrambled eggs and bacon. Jacob wasn’t feeling well and skipped breakfast. Adam and Eli asked for pancakes so Grandma made a few for them. After breakfast we went for a walk and the boys rode their bikes. Around 10:00 we headed over to Estivant Pines to hike the trails. Adam was a little worried and asked, “How are we going to find our way without a compass?” He felt much better when we reminded him of the trail maps. As we were driving there Eli said, “We need to keep an eye out for bears.” I couldn’t understand his word for “bear” at first so he said, “Mommy, let me tell you something. We need to keep an eye out for BEARS.” We had a nice hike and saw many different types of mushrooms. The boys collected some sticks. Eli rode on Jared or my shoulders much of the time. Though he loved walking over the many bridges along the way. We got back and ate a late lunch. Daddy, Adam, and Eli took a bike ride to get garbage bags.  Around 2:00 we went to Esrey Park to climb the steps up the large rock hill. We sat in the gazebo and saw a couple orr boats in Lake Superior. From there we went to see Dennis and Leslie. The boys got to paint their disks with glazes. Eli was sleeping so the boys painted one for him. Jared and I each got to paint one too! It was a lot of fun! Thank you Dennis and Leslie!!! We got to watch them go into the kiln and come out. Jacob was wishing he’d have spent his money on pottery instead of the canon. We let them each pick out something.  We also are going to surprise the boys with mugs for ChristmasJ Eli woke up and followed his brothers into some bushes near the shop. After a little while Eli started screaming. I ran to him and pulled him out. He had hornets all over his arms and neck so I brushed them off. They'd stung him about 10 times, mostly on his arms and some on his belly. Poor guy! His little arms were so red and hot. Leslie gave us some children’s benedryl to give him and we put some cream on the stings. I pushed him around the campground in the stroller. Jacob rode slowly next to us on his bike. Adam and Jacob stayed at camp to get a fire going for dinner. Eli didn’t want to come to the table but sat in the chair and ate some hot dogs for dinner. After dinner we took a walk around the campground with Grandma. The boys took several bike rides. Eli was up and acting ok this evening. We sat by the fire with Grandma and Grandpa and made smores.
