This morning Eli and I moved the tank with baby chicks out of our house and into the barn. We cleaned out the tank and fitted it with some wire fence to go on top. Eli helped me clean out the chicken water containers. He loved using the hose. We also sprayed off the wagon. Then we moved some straw bales over for seats for our cub scouts meeting tonight. I caught Maude and moved her to a stall. It was such a beautiful day. Eli was very tired and took a short nap until I had to wake him to go get Adam. While he slept I did a boxing exercise. After lunch we went outside to work in the barn. I cleaned out the large sheep stall while the boys played in the barn. Adam came running in the stall and slipped, falling hands first. We came inside to work on cleaning the house. Adam helped me dust. Jared came home a little early and vacuumed the house for me. Jacob was excited about the cub scouts meeting at our house. He drew pictures for all his friends. Many of the boys had first ball game practices tonight. Chase and Keaton were the only ones able to come. First the boys checked out the baby chicks. Then they sat on straw bales and snacked on cheese puffs while we sheared Maude. They each got a turn holding the clippers and shearing the sheep (with my help). After we finished with the sheep the boys got ice cream sandwiches. Then the boys helped us feed the sheep. We walked up to the big sandhill and the boys had a great time! Jacob let his friends pick out which pictures they wanted.
