Jared took Eli to Nana and Papa's house before heading to work. We had an overall showmanship meeting this morning. They had the kids introduce themselves and name what animal they show. They also handed out t-shirts which the boys get to keep. Then they told the kids to use their resources and google and the class was over. We talked to our 4H leader and she got us set up to work with a steer, a horse, and a dairy cow. Hopefully tomorrow morning the boys can try working with a pig. We stopped for pops before heading home. Jared got home from work early. He had picked up Eli from my parents house. We got to the fairground around 3:30. Around 4:30 the boys set up chairs by their stalls so they could talk to potential buyers that were walking through the barn. We walked around and then walked in the merchant buildings with Eli. We got some popcorn and waiting until the auction started at 5:30. We stood in the crowd and watched the sale. The boys did great! They took off their sheep halters and Adam was even smiling at the crowd. Jacob got 4.50/lb ($648) and Adam got 5.50/lb ($588.5). Jacob's sheep was the last one sold. The boys were very happy. We stopped to pick up pizza's on our way home. We watched Heartland.
