Day 10

Eli on his new chair

We were up around 6:30.  Grandma came to sit with us.  We did some knitting and waited for our coffee.  Eli was the first up around 7:00.  He cuddled on my lap and then Daddy's.  Adam was next up.  Eli, Adam and I took a walk around the campground.  A lot of people are packing up today and we had fun looking for wood.  After breakfast we took a walk around the campground. Jacob gave Dennis and Marsha a tour of our new van.  We played some games of Uno. Daddy and Eli played checkers.  We took a walk around the campground and found a little wood.  After lunch we headed to Great Sand Bay.  We spent a few hours on the beach and had a lot of fun.  It was a warm day but the water was cold.  The kids played in the water and on the beach.  There were several frisbee a being thrown on the beach which Norman really wanted so Jared went to the van to get his.  We threw it not as far today because he was sore yesterday.  We stopped at the store for pops on our way back to camp.  The boys tried to trap the chipmunk while we made dinner.  We made a couple extra pizza's for Grandma and Grandpa.  After dinner we took a walk around the campground.  Adam let Jacob use his bike with gears which Jacob thought was fun.  The other boys were on their scooters.  Grandma and Grandpa came over to sit by the fire with us.  Dennis stopped by and wanted to try the scooter.  The boys went for a ride with him.  Jacob and Adam played Uno and then checkers until it was time to make s'mores.   I found a chair by the dumpster that just needed the arm sewn so I fixed it up for Eli.  He likes having a bigger chair now.  We went to bed after 10pm.

It seems as if you have s'mores every night. Is that part of ending the day?

Begin with pancakes, end with s'mores!

Your camp looks so comfortable now, lots of living space. When you get back home, do you ever just set up camp for a few more days? Or is everyone happy to be back in familiar beds and routines?
