Chipmunk trapping
They caught the chipmunk!
Goodbye Chip!
Great Sand Bay
Taking a walk with some cute boys
Jared and I were up around 6:30. Jacob was off his bed and on the floor in his sleeping bag. He woke up around 7am and said he was comfy on the floor. We played Uno. Then Grandma and Jacob played dice. We took several walks around the campground this morning. The boys played on their scooters and Eli rode his bike. Then the boys went back to trapping the chipmunk. Jared, Adam, and I went over to the fort for awhile and saw Battery D. We walked through some of the buildings. The boys were finally able to trap their chipmunk. They were so excited! Grandma was gone but they took it over to show Grandpa. They watched it for a little while before letting it go. They are excited to try again. After lunch we headed to Great Sand Bay. The boys had lots of fun playing in the water and on the beach. We also went to Eagle Harbor for a short time because the boys have wanted to see what that beach was like. It was really busy there. We headed to Dennis and Leslie's shop. The boys wanted to say hi to Leslie and then planned to walk to the school playground. Butters the cat was out on the deck so they stayed for awhile. Then Adam and Eli walked over to the playground. Jacob stayed with the cat and fed sunflower seeds to a chipmunk from his hand. He was petting it with his thumb and thought that was really cool. Back at camp we made fried rice and grilled cheese for dinner. We took a walk around the campground and Eli rode his bike. The boys played a wood block game with our neighbors. We took another walk and Eli stayed to watch the game. Dennis and Marsha arrived this evening. We helped them set up their kids tent and unload their trailer. Grandma and Grandpa came to sit by the fire with us. Eli was chopping wood with the hatchet and he hit his hand on the wood and scratched it. He said, "This world is beating me up!" The boys and I took a walk around the campground. We were going to take Norman with us but he was limping. We got to bed around 10:30.

How cool to see the stupid hungry chipmunk up close in the box!
It seems that the world is not only beating up Eli, it is beating up Norman, too. Did he stop limping?
Is Kimmy using her lovely Romney wool purse?
Norman has been diagnosed with Addison's disease:( His limping (weakness) was an early sign of the disease.
Poor Norman. I will look up Addison's disease on Google.
Prognosis for Addison's disease is good with proper treatment but the treatment is pricey. Because of the cost we aren't doing the monthly injections. He is taking prednisone daily which helps. He goes from super weak (can't hold up his head) to fetching his ball. Its crazy! He's such a great dog!!!
