Day 5

At Great Sand Bay

Pebble beach

Jared and I were up just after 6am.  We knitted while waiting for the boys to wake up.   Jacob was super excited to finally solve the triangle peg game with one peg left.  Today is Grandpa's birthday so Eli gave him his birthday card. We went for a walk and the boys rode their scooters.  Eli wiped out and hurt his knee.  We relaxed at our site for a little while and then packed a lunch and headed to  Great Sand Bay. The boys had so much fun playing in the water and on the beach.  They thought it was really funny to make Daddy dive in the cold water.  They'd say "one for the money, two for the show, three to get ready, and four to go!"  On "go" Daddy had to dive in.  Jared had said this on one of our old Copper Harbor videos.  After a few hours we headed back to camp.  On the way back we stopped at the shop to visit with Leslie.  Back at camp we got a fire ready for our Hobo dinners.  We relaxed in the hammocks and did some knitting.  The boys took the army men over to Grandma and Grandpas site to play.  After dinner we took a walk around the campground. Adam and Eli rode their scooters and Jacob rode his bike.  Back at our site Grandma and Grandpa came over to sit by the fire.  I took the older boys over to swim at Pebble beach.  Adam found a bungy cord and they used it with their driftwood.  Back at camp Eli was eating some popcorn that Grandma had made for him.  She had some made for Jacob and Adam too.  Grandma put a stick candle in a muffin and we sang Happy Birthday to Grandpa. We split the muffin which was really good.  We were in be around 10:00.
