3/31/21

 I got to my parents house around 10:30.  Jacob was just waking up and Adam was watching the Beverly Hillbillies.  Nana had made pancakes. Papa was gone at therapy. Vikki and the kids came over too.  Jacob and Adam started putting together the roof panels.  It was cold and windy outside.  Peyton, Nana, Vikki and I played 3-13 and I won.  Mom grilled hot dogs and fried up some potatoes for lunch.  We tried to put on the gazebo roof but it was hard and too windy so we are going to wait until Friday when Jared and Rody came help.  Eli was going to spend the night with Aunt Bippi again.  I got home and Vikki called saying that Eli wanted to come home.  He was really tired and homesick.  I took the car and met Vikk to get Eli.  Jared took the van and trailer to get a load of dirt.  Eli helped us dig out the sand and replace it with dirt.  Jacob and Adam went to youth group.  There were snowing flurries this evening.  We went to Tim Horton's but they were closed due to short staff.  We went to McDonalds for drinks.  We also stopped at the store for muffins and donuts. At home Adam gave us a tour of his Minecraft world.  This evening we watched Dick van Dyke.  

3/30/21

Jared worked from home today because Godwins was sending someone to look at our recliner.  The arm broke and  needs to be replaced.  The boys and I went over to my parents house.  Vikki and the kids came over too.  We helped hold pieces to the pergola while Papa and the boys worked on putting the frame together.  It was really windy today.  Vikki brought her, Mom and I smoothies from Tropical smoothie. Mom made pizza’s and chicken salad sandwiches for lunch.  We visiting on the deck while drinking coffee.  Papa, Jacob and Adam worked on building the pergola's roof.  The directions weren’t very clear so it was difficult to put together.  Around 3:30 I headed home.  Jacob and Adam stayed to spend the night with Nana and Papa.  Eli went home with Aunt Bippi  to spend the night.  Jared hooked up the trailer and we headed to Maple Hill to pick up a load of compost dirt.  At home we hurried to unload the trailer and headed back to get another load.  We didn’t make it before they closed. At home we worked on replacing sand with dirt in the flower beds around the house.  We got one area done.  Jared and I ate dinner late and watched The Woodcarver.  It was a great movie!

Jared here. So we headed to Indianapolis on Saturday for a few days visiting mom and dad and cutting out some limbs with the chain saw.  We had a lot of fun.   Our first visit to Indy since mom had her head surgery.  Head was healing up really well.  I think we wore her out playing 3-13.  I know I was exhausted as I had the high score for just about every game.  Two games above 200 so yeah - silly game.  We got out the chain saw on Sunday and cut up a lot of branches out of a wide number of trees.  Set the burn pile on fire Monday morning and got most of it burnt up.  Mom fed us all well.  Kat Eric Noah and Andrew came over each day.  Andrew and Noah spent the night.  Boys had so much fun running around in the dark and playing minecraft.  Jacob wiped out and lost some skin in the driveway.  I was winning a game - then Noah joined the game and I started to lose and lost big time.  We drove over to Wild Birds unlimited and picked up a piece for our bird feeder.  It’s a really nice store.  Monday before we left we got Eric over in the afternoon after he woke up and got some old 10 and 11 yr old photos recreated.  they were really funny.  Good trip down.  Even brought home a plant from mom  - a poppy of some sort - I already forgot the first part of the name.  Made it home to a cold house monday night.  

3/26/21

It rained during the night and there was a lot of water in the yard. The boys had a half day at school today.  Jacob had a remote learning day.  While Jacob was working on school work I filled the boys Easter baskets.  Jacob finished his school work early.  We went to Kohl’s to get Jacob some new shoes.  We stopped at McDonalds for shakes before heading to school to get the boys.  We went to Old Navy in Saginaw to get Jacob some clothes.  Then we went to Nana and Papa’s.  Vikki and the kids came over too.  Mom made homemade bread and we had egg salad sandwiches for lunch.  Yummy!   Vikki, Nana, Adam and I played a fun game of 3-13. I won.  We left around 5:00.  At home the boys played Minecraft.  Jacob and Adam went to movie night at church from 6:30 - 8:30.  Before the movie they played Gaga ball in the new Gaga ball pit.  They were going to watched a spy movie but it wouldn’t work.  They watched Elf but had to watch it in Spanish (with English subtitles).  There is a new kids that only speaks Spanish.  They couldn’t get this movie with Spanish subtitles.  They still enjoyed the movie and had a great time.  We went to Tim Horton's for coffees and some goodies.  We drove past our old house on our way home.  Jared and I worked in the barn and Eli watched tv.  When we got home with the boys they helped us move a round bale in with the sheep.  We watched a Dick van Dyke before the boys went to bed.

3/25/21

Both cats followed Adam from the house.  

After taking the boys to school I met Jared at the auto shop.  They are fixing an oil leak on the van.  At home I trimmed my plates.  Then I worked on changing around the furniture in our bedroom.  Jared came home around 12:30 and we went to pick up the van.  From there I went to Meijer to get Easter candy for the boys Easter baskets. Went to the school to get the boys and headed home.  Jared trimmed his plates.  The boys played Minecraft.  Then Jared and I played a couple games of 3-13.  Adam went to the sandhill to dig.  Eli caught fish in the pond and put them in a bucket.  After dinner Adam went back up to the sandhill and Eli went back to catching fish.  He took the canoe out on the pond.  We started a fire and sat on the swing.  Eli stepped out of the canoe and almost fell in the pond.  The water came up to his knees. Adam put Steve (the cat) in the canoe and gave the canoe a push.  The cat jumped out of the canoe quickly and went completely under water.  He swam to shore.  Burr!  Poor kitty!  Jacob kicked around the soccer ball for a long time.  We came inside and watched a Dick van Dyke before bed.  

3/24/21

Wyatt sits so funny as we drive

 Jared worked from home today and got to throw on the wheel.  He made 6 dinner plates and I made 6 salad plates.  We played a game of 3-13 while eating lunch.  Jared was in the lead until the A's round.  I won.  After school Eli was busy catching fish in the pond and I sat on the swing.  It was really windy.  Daddy finished work and came outside.  Eli asked Daddy if he could get down the canoe and put it in the pond.  We had a lot of fun paddling around the the little pond.  I got out and then Wyatt got out and had fun running around the pond.  He loves the water.  After a while Daddy and Eli paddled into the "river" and parked the canoe.  There were a bunch of fish in the shallow water and he caught several.  This evening Jacob and Adam had youth group.  After dropping them off we went to Kohl's to get Eli some new shoes.  He no longer wears kid sizes and is wearing men's size 8.5.  The boys had a great time at youth group and said they are having a movie night on Friday.  At home we played a game of soccer.  Adam took Grandma's suggestion and we drew our teams.  It was Adam, Eli and I vs Jacob and Daddy.  We won 3-2.  Jared and I played a game of 3-13 and I won.
