Eli's 4th Birthday!!!
Talking to Nana
This morning the birthday boy crawled into our bed around 7:30. Adam, who was laying on the floor by our bed, climbed into our bed too. He told us several knock knock jokes. Last night Jacob got to stay up a little later and helped us blow up 50 balloons. Now he can blow them up and tie them too. Before Jared and I went to bed we brought the balloons out to the living room. The boys liked seeing the balloons had fun collecting their favorite colors. Eli handed me some pink ones. His favorites were red and orange. Adam, of coarse, collected white ones. Eli often tells me, "Adam devours white." Jacob collected the green ones. Eli checked out his birthday cake (he had requested a fish cake) and the helium balloons. He was excited and ready to open his birthday presents. He got a spiderman bank, star wars toothbrush, nerds, gum, Lego Arctic Batman, and the Lego Batman Funhouse. Jacob put together the Arctic Batman set while Adam and Eli played with mini figures from the set. Jared went to town to get donuts and coffee. Eli put all his coins and dollars into his new bank. Adam ran to get one of his own dollars and gave it to Eli. He said it was because Eli shares so nicely. Adam, who's crazy about white, really wanted to play with the white batman. Eli share very nicely with his brothers. Jared and I got to put together the Batman funhouse. Eli played with his lego sets for awhile. Then we watched Jake and the Neverland Pirates until lunchtime. After lunch we headed to the Standish campground to use their indoor pool. Jacob said, “I hope I remember how to swim.” Vikki (and kids) met us at the campground. We spent a few fun hours swimming. We all had so much fun! Jacob and Adam were swimming for coins in the deep end. They are both getting better at swimming above water too. Eli swims around good with his floaties on. I love how he closes his mouth with his cheeks puffed out. Peyton and Isaac were nervous at first but it didn't take them long to start splashing and having a great time too. Kenzie got lots of exercise swimming laps and playing with Uncle Jared. After swimming we went to the lounge and had sandwiches and snacks. Then we sang to Eli and had birthday cake. Eli fell asleep quickly on our drive home. This evening the boys played with legos and balloons. We watched Jake and hand popcorn, pop and ice cream. The boys helped Daddy put balloons on the ceiling after rubbing them on their heads. At bedtime Eli always thanks God for his patch (Yoda) and three stars (glow in the dark). He was happy that we added a forth star, because he is FOUR year old! It was a really, really fun day celebrating with our four year old!!!
