Jared's sore ankle

Jacob and Adam were off school today. Jared got out of work early and we went to TSC to purchase our fence. I pulled two rolls with the van/trailer and Jared used my Dads truck to haul 4 rolls.

10-16-11

This weekend we used the neighbors tractor to brush hog our paddocks. We also pull alot of fence posts and did a few other jobs with it. Nik came over on Sunday and played with the boys on the sand hill. We found a big garder snake which the boys liked holding. They found a lot of caterpillars and a preying mantis. Jared twisted his ankle really bad when he stepped of the brush hog into the tall grass. I walked around the tractor and he was on the ground. He heard something pop and it swelled up quickly. After we were finished using the tractor Jared took each of the boys for a ride on it. They got to steer it and used its forklift to lift a brush pile. This evening Jared and Kenzie stayed with the kids while Mel and I went to the hospital to see Peyton and Isaac. Vikki nursed them while we visited. I got to hold Peyton. Mel got to hold both of them together. At 6:45 all visitors have to leave so we headed back to Vikki's. We stopped at Kroger for groceries before going home. We watched Over the Hedge and camped out again in the living room.

We camped out in the living room again tonight and watched Tangled and How its Made.

Eli likes to do this with his hands and roar like a lion, especially at the dogs.

Adam fell on the cement during Jacob's soccer practice.

Boys are off school tomorrow so we had a campout in the living room. We watched Alpha and Omega and How its Made.

Adam found a preying mantis in one of our paddocks today. I brought it in to put in their bug cage. When Jacob got home from school we got out the bug book so we could read about them. It was really interesting. Nik came over after school until dinnertime. After dinner we went outside to work on fence. Were taking down all the rubber fencing. Jacob and Adam painted on papers up in their fort. Eli stayed by me.

After taking the boys to school we headed into town. We went to Tim Hortons and Salvation army. Then we headed to the library for Toddler time. There were about 15 other kids there. Eli really enjoyed this. The lady read a story, did some finger plays, and songs. Then each of the kids got Brown Bear Brown Bear for their Mommy's to read to them. The next 15 minutes were for the kids to play. Eli really loved all the blown up balls. He kept going up to people and showing them his "missing hand" which Grandpa taught him and he loves doing. We got some books to bring home for the boys. At home I did a boxing exercise and Eli sat on the couch to watch. Every time I looked at him he would smile and pretend he was sleeping. Adam is making a scarcrow in his class and was excited to tell me how they collected leaves to stuff into his pants and tied them on with yarn. He brought a leaf home. I tucked Eli in for a nap. Adam and I read all the library books we'd got today. He asked me to read Ten Apples Up On Top backwards which he thought was really funny.  Nik came over to play until dinnertime. After dinner Daddy and Jacob headed to cub scouts for a pack meeting. The boys and I went outside. We didn’t stay out for very long because the mosquitos were bad and they seem to love Eli. We watched Diego. Adam got out his caterpillar to show Eli. Jacob had a fun time at cub scouts. The boys were busy getting dizzy as they spun around in the living room.  Then Daddy and the boys played Ninja.
