9-14-11

Today was Adam’s first day going to preschool by himself. He was very excited and walked right into his classroom. Eli and I had a few hours to spend together. He says “dop (stop)” a lot, like if the dogs are bothering him or he doesn’t want to be tickled. We got out blocks to play with and he liked knocking down the things that I built. He found a cardboard tube and would put the blocks that fit down that. I rocked him and we read some books that he'd picked out. We went outside for awhile and played in the fort. Then Eli collected rocks to put in a pringles can. Norman came out with us and is so good about staying in our yard. He loves to fetch the frisbee or ball. We came inside and I rocked Eli while we read Danny and the Dinosaur. Just after noon we headed down our road to get Adam off the bus. He loved riding the bus and said there were lots of people that got off it. He had a good first day of school. Daddy called so he could talk to him and hear about his day. At home I tucked Eli in for a nap. Adam ate lunch and then we watched Shaun the sheep. I finished one of Jared’s mittens that I've been knitting. Adam and I went outside to play until it was time to get Jacob off the bus. Adam often wants to carry Eli after he wakes up from his nap. He throws his blankey over his shoulder and looks cute as he walks with him down the hallway. Nik came over to play after school. The boys played with blocks and Mr Potato heads. Eli was acting tired so I tucked him back in for another nap. Jared got home around 5pm. After dinner we went outside. The boys had a great time on the curly slide. Eli just liked throwing the soccer ball down it. Jacob was trying to climb up it.
