Jacob and Adam were so wound up last night so it took a while for them to fall asleep. They were both really excited about Jacob's birthday. My back is still really bothering me. The boys had helped us decorate cupcakes for Jacob to take to school on his birthday. We woke Jacob up around 7am. It took him a little while to wake up and remember that today was his birthday but he sure was excited once he did. Jared left late for work so he could see Jacob this morning. Adam got Jacob a birthday present which he gave him this morning. Jacob guessed that it was silly puddy but was surprised that it was a watch. Adam showed him how it lights up. Jacob put the candles in his rocket cake. We made pancakes for breakfast. Aunt Vikki, Uncle Rody, and Kenzie called to wish Jacob a happy birthday. Jacob laughed at them when they asked if he was going to put a candle in his pancake. But after getting off the phone with them he decided he wanted to do that. Today it was cool and rainy outside. Lauren’s mom gave me a present to take home for Jacob to open later. Lauren is Jacob’s best friend at school. Eli ate his pancake once we were back home and really liked them. After breakfast we watched How They Build That – cement trucks and buses. Eli is walking all over the place now. He got his fingers pinched by the door hinge as Adam shut it – poor guy! At 9:30 Eli was acting sleepy so I tucked him in for a nap. My back was hurting so Adam and I watched Bob the Builder while I sat with the heating pad. Then Adam and I played house. Just after lunchtime we headed to Meijer. Adam wanted to get a watch with his birthday money. After finding the watch he wanted we headed to the toy section to get Jacob a hot wheels car. Adam found something there he wanted instead of a watch. After changing his mind several times he ended up getting a lego set. We worked on putting the set together at home. Jared came home just after 2:00. Adam and Daddy were putting together the airplane when Adam said, “Mommy can that receipt be mine cause I bought it?” Jared went outside to saddle up Nutmeg for a lady who coming to look at her. Jacob was really excited about his day at school. He said his teacher let him be line leader ALL DAY! He also said his music teacher gave him a special snack in class today. Nana and Papa called to talk to Jacob and then Aunt Missy and her family called. When I handed him the phone he smiled and said, "Everybody wants to talk to me today!" Jared came back inside and said that the lady wants to buy Nutmeg and will be taking her home next week. Jacob was excited that he could now open his birthday presents. He opened his gift from Lauren first. The boys had fun with the card she'd picked out which was Sponge Bob singing Happy Birthday. They were acting so silly. When Jacob opened his next card Adam said, "Lets hope its a singing card!" Lauren had picked out a Star Wars lego set which Jacob was excited about. Next he opened a rocket/launch pad set and said, "A rocket! Thats just what I wanted!" He also opened another rocket, wadding/engines, a hot wheels car, paint brush markers, and a super soaker gun. Then he opened his card from Grandma and Grandpa. As he opened it he said, "I hope its money!" He was excited about the money inside. We worked on building his star wars lego set until it was time to leave for dinner. We went out for dinner at McDonalds. The boys had a great time playing there. They love going down the curly slides and crawling through the tubes. This evening we bought a pop up camper. On the drive there to get it Jacob painted with his markers. I sat back by him as we drove home and we played, tic tac toe, dot game, and hang man. Adam fell asleep on the drive home and stayed sleeping as we moved him to his bed. After Adam and Eli were tucked in bed we helped Jacob worked on his Star Wars legos.
