Adam came running down the hallway around 7am. He was a very excited birthday boy! When he saw his presents he said, “Jacob can help me open the big one and I can open all the little ones." Then he ran to the bedroom to wake up Jacob. He told Jacob that he could help him open the big present. Eli was soon awake also. After breakfast and getting ready for the day we sat down to watch Adam open his birthday gifts. He was very happy with all of them. He got a bilibo, hot wheels train, matchbox car, mini lego set, and a super soaker water gun. We tried the super soaker but it didn’t work so it had to be returned and exchanged. Daddy took Jacob to school this morning. I helped Adam build his lego police car while feeding Eli his oatmeal. Adam played with his new toys and the big box until it was time to leave. We met Vikki and Jack at Tim Horton’s around 9am. Adam picked a vanilla frosted donut with sprinkles. From there we headed over to a nearby park that has been newly remodeled. Vikki gave Adam his birthday present there. He was excited about the colored bubbles, bubble gun, and silly puddy. We opened the bubbles but didn’t like them. Adam couldn’t blow these bubbles and they were just a big mess. Adam and Jack had a great time running on all the sidewalks and through the tunnel. It was a chilly morning but they boys still wanted to play in the water. The spray part of the park was off but you could get water to spray up a little by pushing the buttons. The boys had so much fun playing. After a little over an hour we decided to change them into warm clothes and head to McDonald’s playland. We ordered some food and then Aunt Bippi got the boys ice cream cones too. Adam and Jack had a great time crawling through the tunnels and going down the long, curly tube slide. Eli was dipping his fries into his ice cream. I took Eli into the play land and he enjoyed it. My back, which I hurt yesterday, started hurting worse after crawling through the tunnels with Eli. Jared came there around 12:30. I locked my keys in the van and we had to call AAA to get them out. Around 2:30 we headed over to Target to exchange Adam’s super soaker. He liked picking out the water gun himself. We got home around 3:15. Daddy and Adam waited for Jacob to get off the bus. I went home to pack for our trip to swimming pool. Adam and Jacob tried out the super soaker, on Daddy and Mommy, haha. We headed to Delta to go swimming. Jacob and Adam played with the silly puddy on the drive there and back. Nana, Vikki, Kenzie, and Jack were there. There was open swim today from 4-6 and we stayed until it ended. Jacob learned to hold his breath so he can stick his head underwater. Adam did really well swimming around in the water with his floaties on. Eli enjoyed the water too.We all had a great time. My back was really bothering me after the swim. As we walked back to the car Adam said, “that was sooo much fun!” Back at home we warmed pizza for a late dinner. While getting that ready the boys went out on the back deck to spray the water gun. After eating we sang Happy birthday and had cake/ice cream. Adam put both bilibo's on his head and was “making them blink” as he looked through the holes. After reading Adam his bedtime story I got to rock him for a long time. Aunt Missy and family called to sing Happy Birthday to him. Jacob then talked to Hailey for awhile. Adam went to sleep next to me on the couch. He'd put pillows on the couch for my sore back.

Looks like Adam had a fun day celebrating his birthday. Jack sure had fun spending the day with you guys. He still talks about swimming in the pool.
