Happy Birthday Jared!

Jared had to work this morning. Before leaving he got to open the birthday presents from his parents. He got a new flannel and socks. The boys and I called Daddy at works to sing Happy Birthday to him. I lite the floating candles and we ate breakfast with just those lite. After taking Jacob to school we headed to the store to pick up a cake mix. At home I fed Eli his breakfast while Adam watched Dora. Eli loves to get into the kitchen drawers. He enjoys playing with the playskool ball toy, which blows balls from the top. Around 10:00 I tucked him in for a nap. Adam helped me bake and decorate Daddy’s birthday cake. Eli woke up just after lunchtime. Jared got home from work around 2pm. I went to the post office to get Jared’s birthday present, which came today. The boys played with the cars and road track set. Adam was excited to ride with Daddy (in his car) down the road to pick Jacob up from the bus. Back at home the boys opened their valentines bags from us. They loved the thing they got and Jacob gave us a thumbs up. Eli liked his peach puffs and stuffed animal. He also ate his first candy bar - and love it. Daddy got some m&ms and a lego techniques set. I got a bible case for my bible. It was fun looking at the cards Jacob got from his friends at school. Then the boys gave Daddy his birthday present, which was a headlamp. We took a drive to town for coffees from Tim Hortons. Got home around 5pm and started making dinner. The boys sat at the counter to help Daddy put together his new lego set. Jacob helped me decorated the table with cut out hearts and we ate dinner with the candles lit. After dinner the boys were excited to put lots of candles in Daddy’s birthday cake. We sang and had cake/ice cream to celebrate with Daddy. Eli played for a little bit while Jacob and Adam cleaned up their toys. I tucked Eli in for bed a little early since he was tired from missing a nap. Then we played hide and seek in the dark using headlamps and flashlight until bedtime. After tucking the boys in bed Jared and I watched season 2 of 24.
