Moving the treadmill around so its level. They make it look light but its really heavy.
Jared won the first two and then I won the last game
No school for the boys today. They got up early and watched tv. I worked on trimming bowls and making them into yarn bowls. A bald eagle flew over our pasture. After lunch we headed to Nana and Papa's. On the way we stopped at McDonalds for drinks. When we were just a couple miles away the van's battery light came on. I called Jared and he said he thought it was probably the alternator. Other lights starting coming on and then we lost power steering. We were almost to my parents house when the van died completely. I didn't pull over because I thought I would put it in neutral and let the boys push us. The van was so dead I couldn't shift into neutral or even take out the keys. I also couldn't put on my hazards. Jacob and Adam ran to Nana and Papa's. Soon my parents were there to help. Nana came in her car and Papa and the boys came in the truck. Nana gave me her wool hat and mittens to wear. Papa and Jacob got the jumper cables hooked up. It was so cold and windy! After awhile it started but it died quickly after taking the cables off. We did this a few time. Then it started and I hurried off to my parents house. I parked the van back by the shed. Soon Jared was there. Dad, Jared and Jacob went to the auto store to get an alternator. They also had the battery tested and it was good. The new alternator is in and the van it working again. Yay! Vikki and the kids came over too. Mom made coffee and put out snacks. We had a nice visit. Jared took Adam home with him and they stopped at the barber so Adam could get a haircut. This evening Jared and I played a few games of 3-13. The boys played minecraft.

Now that was an eventful day for sure. Woo...Good to have those folks who can figure out things. Really good. A day like that is enough for a couple, three years I would say. Wool hat and mittens...I wonder what sheep those came from. Lovely picture of green slippers on the Iphone. I think JB earned a seat in the chair. Scores are looking good for you know who!!!!!
Today Soup Kitchen in the morning.
What a day to have that happen with it being so cold and windy. The day still ended up being a fun family day. All of you out in that weather sure did feel the cold! Yikes. Yay for wool hats and mittens made by somebody I love. You know it's cold when dad wears a hat of mine too ha ha. He was pretty fast to put his cap over it though. It still had the little braids coming down by his ears though. I want to see a picture of Adam with his haircut. At least you won BIG in that last game!!
