These counters were so hard to get out.

Kenzie and Mylee

"Hug" ring from Dad

After church we got ready and headed to Kenzie and Travis's house.  We picked up pizza on the way and stopped at the post office.  Vikki had just gotten there before us and my parents were there soon after. We all brought pizza's for lunch.  Dad said he had something to give us girls.  He reached in his pocket and pulled out "hug" rings for each of us.  What a sweet and special gift.  Thank you Dad!!  After eating we got to work on the demolition of the kitchen.  We took out the all the cabinets and the countertop. There was a built in stove and oven that had to come out too.  It was all screwed and nailed in really tight so hard to get out.  The boys worked outside with Travis and Papa. They also helped carry loads of wood from the house.  They had a fire going in the burn barrel but the decided to make a big fire in the garden.  It wasn't long and we heard the firetrucks coming.  We hoped they weren't coming here and were so happy when we saw they drive by.  Then they stopped and backed up to Kenzie's.  A neighbor had called to report the fire.  We aren't allowed to burn manufactured wood.  The fireman gave a warning and said not to add any more wood to the fire.  We got a lot of work done today and sure had fun working together.  We got home around 8:00. Adam finished reading the bible tonight and is starting over.  He started reading this bible when he got it for his 12th birthday. He came out to tell us and wanted to text Nana right way. We are so proud of him!

Now that was a busy afternoon. My goodness. You should have been on Fixer Upper on TV. It was demo day. No not day...all done in an afternoon and maybe early evening according to the fire. That was another chapter in the book. Lots of heavy stuff now gone!!!!. Ready to start again. I was hoping for lots of pictures and it happened. Today I'm getting food in the freezer for the coming adventure. Daddy knows how to use the microwave. That's about it. OOPS...Steak and Shake also.

I was so happy when Adam let me know he finished reading his Bible. It is so special that he wanted to let me know right away. What a wonderful accomplishment and what a great kid! I am so proud of him too.

Another fun day working together. Lots of excitement with the firemen too. Jared sure worked hard getting that built in oven out. The boys were amazing helpers too. You all spoil me. You don't let me carry anything you think is too heavy, you are right there if I need something, you don't want me doing anything strenuous, etc. You all make me feel very loved. I tried to carry a big piece of wood out and Eli took it right away from me. The other boys do the same. I called Adam to take the wood from the porch and he came running to me right away so fast. I'm glad you let me have a few good swings with that sledgehammer ha ha! Eli really out did my swings though and so did the rest of you.

I love your "hug" ring and I love that dad did that for us. I didn't even know about it. How special that he told us when ever we want a hug from him we've got one. That will always be a special memory for each of us!
