Fazoli's
Jared here writing about the Russell Christmas weekend. We headed down to Indy on a Thursday and had a nice rainy drive down. Better than snow and ice. Farmer's Almanac said it’s going to be a wet winter. right so far.
Friday morning Eric, Kat, Andrew and Noah arrived around 10am to open Christmas presents. Kat brought over a ton of Christmas cookies. Super good and we successfully hid them for the kids for quite some time. Once discovered they didn’t last long. Had a great time exchanging presents and laughing. Jacob, Adam Eli, Andrew and Noah had a ton of fun playing around and goofing off. Went to the neighbor hood park. played a ton of tag and basketball. I was whooped. had a great time. So Saturday Eric, Kat Andrew and Noah arrived early for waffles and to play. Kimmy, Mom and I went to lowes to get some new hinges for her cabinets. we got them all for a great deal. But needed more…so Kimmy and I took a bit of a road trip to another Lowes that had a better stock pile. They matched the discounted price. WEEE. Good job Kimmy. The new hinges were not an an exact like for like replacement so we needed to manufacture a shim for each hinge. We made them out of plexiglass scrap that mom had laying around. We cut and drilled holes and made our shims. Needed almost 100. Noah and Andrew helped us make our shims, it was quite the group project. Mom and Eric worked on removing, cleaning and reinstalling all the cabinet door and drawer pulls while Kimmy and I replaced hinges. We worked for 3 to 4 hours on the kitchen. Mom scrubbed till she was whooped. The kitchen looks sharp. We made another trip down to the park after all the work before dinner. more tag and basketball. exhausted! Oh and I forgot we also replaced a couple of toilet seats as well. projects completed successfully. Start a new list.
We played a lot of 3-13 games with mom and Dad. Lets just say the men didn’t fare to well this trip.
We had a great visit. finished off with mom and Dad treating us all to fazoli’s on Sunday after church. mmmmm. Nice dry trip home even though the Farmer’s Almanac says it’s going to be a wet winter.
